What you will doAs a Sr. Software Developer at India Engineering Center primary responsibility for this role is to develop Web API (RESTful) using C#, ASP.net MVC, ASP.net & SQL Server which will be consumed by Web Based Application for different features. You will work on product designs that will be used to integrate into the Building Automation System units on the current architecture. You will have to participate in coding, design reviews, documentation and communication with respective stakeholders.How you will do itResponsible for the development of Web Based Application following our Software Development ProcessParticipating and assisting in the development of software requirements specifications and software functional specificationsIndependently coding, testing, debugging and modifying complex software to ensure conformance to design specifications and the JCI Software Development Process Communicate within the team to understand requirementsCoordinating and participating in software design and code implementation, reviews/inspections.Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of project schedules and effort estimationsKeeping abreast of technical advancements in programming languages, operating systems, software development techniques and toolsContinually improving software development skillset, and sharing knowledge with other team membersSupporting and encouraging a philosophy of cooperation within the group, and being both a role model and mentor for junior software engineersSetting the standard for performance by example, both in terms of design and code quality and dedication to developing world-class softwareEmploy best in class practices to achieve a seamless user experience and robust/reliable implementationWhat we look forBE/B.Tech/MCA - Must have 5+ years software development experience on web-based applicationsMust have exceptionally good software design and programming skills in C#, ASP.net MVC, ASP.net Web API (RESTful), SQL Server & LINQExperience with Unit Testing Frameworks and Concepts Good knowledge of Object Oriented programming, including Design Patterns Exposure on writing detailed designsDesign and develop robust system solutions that meet defined system requirementsTest and debug programs to meet business needsKnowledge of the entire product development and software development lifecycle (requirements, design, implementation, test and deployment) is neededGood knowledge of version control tool like Git and project management tool like JiraFamiliarity with continuous integrationExcellent written and oral communication skills, along with the proven ability to work as a team with other disciplines outside of engineering are a mustSolid analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to learn quickly and adapt to new systemsBasic knowledge of Building Automation will be an added advantageStrong communication skills to interact with colleagues, partners and customersStrong documentation and presentation skills with the confidence and ability to work with mid managementAble to work efficiently as a part of a team and independentlySelf-learner and able to work with autonomyShould have can do attitude and initiative to start and complete the assigned activities.Good in R&D & POC creation.Provides technical assistance as necessary to other team membersGood to haveSound knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, CSS Preprocessor(LESS/SASS), jQuery & AngularJSUnderstanding of Single Page ApplicationUnderstanding of responsive web developmentPreferredBE/B.Tech/MCAExperience in Agile Software Development (Scrum Methodology)Strong presentation skillsStrong communication skills and be able to discuss technical topics with individuals and groups,
