About the opportunityDepartment DescriptionThe Technology function provides IT services to the Fidelity International business, globally. These include the development and support of business applications that underpin our revenue, operational, investment, compliance, finance, legal, marketing and customer service functions. The broader organisation incorporates Infrastructure services that the firm relies on to operate on a day to day basis including data centre, networks, proximity services, security, voice, incident management and remediation. The Central team comprises systems development and support specialists that provide support to departments such as HR Services, Finance, Corporate Services, Legal and Compliance, Risk and Technology across various geographic locations. The services include Production Support of in-house developed application and vendor provided products, small scale enhancements and product.Purpose of the RoleThe successful candidate shall be expected to be work as developer in this department. You are required to be a highly skilled, hands on developer who shall deliver software features within a project; meeting business requirements with highest standards of quality and responsiveness of extremely timely deliveries to business; with limited to none supervision (design / code reviews / qa etc )Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the analytical and programming skills to work on data integration across heterogenous systems to collect, analyse, and interpret large data sets with a purpose to enable data platforms for competitive advantage of business and to identify risks around data
• Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions
• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques
• Process & clean raw data structures to create data suitable to be used in a statistical rules engine
• Performance optimization of existing data quality rules engine

Experience and Qualifications8 -13 yearsBE / BTechEssesntial SkillsOverall experience of hands on system software analysis, development, testing and maintenanceSeasoned IT software delivery professional with an experience of 10 years of hands on development.Expert at following technology sets -Hands with Angular and node jsWeb applications, Web Services and batch applications developmentPreferable experience in Microsoft technologies - WinForms & WPFSQL or similar RDBMSBasic of JavaExperience on development and solution architecting on cloud ecosystems (AWS, Cloud Foundry etc )Unix command line and scriptingHighly skilled and efficient with Web development tooling like Visual Code (or similar)Experience with messaging-based development on any of the technologies like WebSphere MQ, Active/Rabbit/Sonic MQExperience with responsive web and JavaScript UI technologies like npm, nodejs, angular, backbone etcHands on with .net design patterns.Experience with Agile / continuous delivery paradigms of software development and with extreme programming (XP) techniques is key.Should be an expert craftsman on test first model of Test-Driven Development (TDD).Expert at putting in continuous integration and build/release automation practices. Experience on atleast one build server like Bamboo, Teamcity, Jenkins etcHas ability to envision design for complex functional and technical problems while incrementally evolving the implementation in simple progressive steps of deliveries.You are adept at Pair programming and can comfortably pair with other developers irrespective of maturity/experience levels.
