EY GDS - Assistant Manager - Business Continuity Planning

This position will support central BCP team for coordinating an effective Business Continuity program predominantly for EY Global Delivery Services (GDS). The individual will part of EY GDS Global BCP Team and will support in other ways, as necessary, to ensure compliance to internal policy requirements and state of readiness.Responsibilities, Qualifications, Certifications - ExternalDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :- This position will support central BCP team for coordinating an effective Business Continuity program predominantly for EY Global Delivery Services (GDS). The individual will part of EY GDS Global BCP Team and will support in other ways, as necessary, to ensure compliance to internal policy requirements and state of readiness.- Support development, implementation and maintenance of business continuity plans and partner closely with the Service Lines/Functions towards best-in-class program and relationship.- Support stakeholders with coordination and facilitation of the Risk Assessments, Resilience Assessments, Business Impact Analysis and their refresh.- Review strategies of plans for alignment across service lines, assess reasonableness of requirements. Review technology and real estate requirements as a level of reasonableness.- Engage with respective leaders and subject matter experts to ensure BCP gaps are addressed and closed.- Provide thought leadership and direction to the service line contacts regarding strategy, tasks and exercises.- Coordinate and support the business during a real crisis situation.- Support GDS Global Security Office with review and monitoring of projects, including working with technologies, facilities & administration and service lines to ensure BCP requirements have been properly considered- Ensure Recoverability gaps are identified and Risks are highlighted and addressed timely.- Ensure plans are in compliance with internal policy requirements, local regulations and any additional Service Line requirements.- Support integration/implementation of GDS BCP Program framework to new GDS centers/cities/countries.- Support and conduct BCP Exercises across GDS Centers, Walkthroughs through Full Scale. Become proficient in Exercise scenarios appropriate to the business and, through knowledge of the business, create exercises especially relevant to internal customers.- Disseminate information on events in region or business units as appropriate.- Ensure that Service Lines/Functions supported have a robust strategy to recover in case of a disaster. Help the businesses prioritize recovery options based on criticality of process and cost of recovery.- Provide training to new BCP/Crisis Management Team members, Service Line Point of contacts and BCP leads to ensure understanding of the BCP requirements and lead activities to heighten BCP awareness across EY GDS Centers.- Manage the maintenance, storage and availability of all EY GDS centers recovery plans, ensure readiness for internal/external audits including responding to client queries.- Maintain sound working knowledge of EY GDSs operations, including organizational structure, policies, processes, products and systems. - Keep abreast of industry news and how it affects EY GDSs Business Continuity.- Deployment, maintenance, enhancements of tools and technologies used by the team/organization.- Perform other duties as assignedREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :- Total Work Experience of 8+ years in which at least 3-4 of years in Business Continuity Planning (should have exposure to all set of activities within BCP life cycle).- Exposure to emerging and evolving technologies like AI, Bots, RPA and tools such and similar as Archer, Everbridge, SharePoint, SAP, Power BI etc. - Strong knowledge of both business recovery and testing methodologies.- Must be decisive, flexible, self reliant and able to work under pressure in a flexible, global, fast paced environment and demonstrate maturity.- Ability to work with people across cultures and time zones.- Project management, tools designing/implementation experience, leading/working in cross functional/geography project teams will be an added advantage.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to influence and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.- Must be able to deal effectively with ambiguity and guide others as well.- Have a dedication to deliver results within strict time frames.- Self starter with strong eye for detail with an ability to prioritize the function at senior levels.- BCP Certification (Associate Business Continuity Professional, Certified Business Continuity Vendor, Certified Functional Continuity Professional, Certified Business Continuity Professional, Master Business Continuity Professional) a plusADDITIONAL INFORMATION :- The successful candidate will be the custodian of highly confidential documents and plans, which demands a high level of maturity & eye for detail.- The position also needs to deal with leadership at the center and other leaders at various centers worldwide, which require exceptional communication skills, stakeholder management experience and great interpersonal relationships to be developed and maintained.- Individuals part of MNC/Organization with exposures to these aspects would be an added advantage.- Ability to travel if required.,
