About the opportunityDepartment DescriptionThe Emerging Technology team explores, validates, and implements new and upcoming technologies of relevance to Fidelity s business and to the financial services industry in general. Our team of research analysts and engineers combine their passion for solving business needs through the lens of these emerging technologies and social trends. We also explore for interesting solutions and ideas across the fintech landscape and use our custom approach to test and validate their offerings in a rapid manner.We contribute to rapidly develop new products, capabilities and businesses prototypes, validating the technical, engineering and business feasibility of the solution. we also create hands on deepening of the knowledge on emerging techs, showing the art of possible to Fidelity business and tech channels.We participate to contribute in research article based on our implementation experience, along with capturing our own lessons learned, engineering best practices.Purpose of the RoleWe contribute to rapidly develop new products, capabilities and businesses prototypes, validating the technical, engineering and business feasibility of the solution. we also create hands on deepening of the knowledge on emerging techs, showing the art of possible to Fidelity business and tech channels.We participate to contribute in research article based on our implementation experience, along with capturing our own lessons learned, engineering best practices.Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with multiple businesses, researchers, analysts and technical teams on new products and solutions
  • Design client-side and server-side architecture
  • Build end to end working prototypes to prove art of possibility for given business problems
  • Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
  • Write and integrate effective with APIs
  • Test, troubleshoot and debug software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
  • Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
  • Develop mobile apps
  • Researching on emerging technologies, their use cases and how they can be utilized to support our business
  • Learning and onboarding on technologies required to create a prototype
  • Write technical documentation
Experience and Qualifications RequiredExperience in technologies like Java/Python/NodeJs as backend Well versed with web development frameworks and RESTful APIs Have working experience with RDBMS/NoSQL database Working knowledge and experience with JavaScript frameworks like Node.js, ReactJs or Angular Should have working experience on AWS cloud environment Experience & good understanding of full development life cycle Experience in the use of tools like source control management system (Git, Bitbucket), CI/CD pipeline etc. Excellent communication and teamwork skillsDesired skill and experience -Working experience in emerging tech like Blockchain, AI/ML or AR/VR Should be able to summarize, create presentations and present initiative-specific key findings, performance and recommendationsAbout youAbout Fidelity InternationalFidelity International offers investment solutions and services and retirement expertise to more than 2.56 million customers globally.
