Job Description

*About this roleThe role holder is an integral part of the HR Shared Service for India and is responsible for end to end payroll, advising line management and HR on HR policy or process issues. He/she is responsible for the implementation, development and review of payroll and benefit administration as well shared services strategies to meet business objectives in line with regional and business strategies, company values, policies and procedures, HR best practice, external legislative requirements and undertakes projects relating to the payroll and benefits matters impacting payroll and HR operations related areas. This position band is Level E.Youll have the following responsibilitiesEssential Functions:Administrative/Task Focus:

  • Handling Payroll activities
  • Responsible to consolidate / validate the payroll inputs and provide to payrollservice provider as per the payroll cut-off dates
  • To analyse the payroll input and correct any discrepancies.
  • Managing Exit process and employee retiral benefits.
  • Validation of payroll & Audit control
  • Finalization and disbursement of salary, payroll reimbursement and finalsettlement.
  • Payroll Accounting & provisions.
  • Handling payroll statutory compliances PF, ESIC, LWF, PT, Pension, Gratuity,and Bonus.
  • Employee Taxation and tax compliances filing of QTR / ITR, Withhold tax
  • compliances, appeal for Tax notices and demand.
  • Audits Managing internal Audit, Group Audit, Tax audit, process Audits, audit& Actuarial Valuations.
  • System control and modification at the time of policy changes and newnotifications.
  • Handling payroll merger and acquisition entity.
  • Payroll Vendor Management
  • Adhoc reporting and other duties as required
  • Provide a responsive, accurate advisory service on payroll matters, resolvedifficult enquiries and assist in identifying payroll errors and implementing corrective action where required to ensure employee salaries are processedaccurately and database integrity is maintained.
Data Integrity, Compliance and Process Documentation:
  • Responsible for day-to-day transactions of payroll activity
  • Responsible for ongoing system process documentation
  • Ensure process adherence as needed by audit standards
  • Maintain and ensure full compliance of payroll processing and finalization asrequired in the role.
Youll have the following skills & experienceRequired Experience and Qualifications
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in Payroll administration or related field.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Knowledge of Fusion, HRMS would be added advantage
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office products, particularly Excel.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience in Payroll and Benefits, with specific knowledge of India payroll andtax relief payroll elements
  • Must have worked on Payroll software
  • Must have processed payroll for 5000+ manpower
  • Previous experience in high volume full function payroll
  • Expert numeracy skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, in English in a clearand concise manner
  • Experience in payroll, and the use of a large ERP
  • Proven ability to quickly learn new information, processes and procedures
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and identify and resolve problems
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite of products advanced/expertexcel
  • Must demonstrate strong analytical skills
