Job Description

This position reports to the Technical Manager of Operations/Assignment Manager is a key member of the team, managing all customer/client infrastructure management systems in a 24x7, fast-paced, high transaction volume environment. This position works with moderate supervision side-by-side with team members and other IT teams to provide support for all infrastructure management systems. Works closely with onsite customer such as IT Operations, Architecture, Development, and Quality Assurance to understand the requirements / needs of the business, implement new solutions, and contribute to the overall stability and success of the company. What I ll be doing your accountabilities

    • Implementation of systems based infrastructure based on business requirements.
    • Supports ongoing maintenance, security, and availability of systems based infrastructure based on business requirements.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve systems infrastructure related incidents and problems according to customer processes.
    • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for system infrastructure related service problems as part of problem management.
    • Liaise with support vendors for maintenance, support or issues resolution.
    • Support OS Server based systems, middleware, clustering software, storage and system management agents.
    • Assist in analyzing historical usage for tracking and trending by CPU, memory, I/O and storage.
    • Implement capacity improvement plan.
    • Assist in developing and maintaining the Technical Disaster Recovery Plan.
    • Execute Technical Disaster Recovery Plan during actual DR and DR exercise drills.
    • Provide technical support during disaster.
    • Review event logs on a regular basis based on business requirements.
    • Manage the server OS patching procedure and security hardening.
    • Evaluate and review patches, before and after installation.
    • Perform backup and restore of systems based on business requirement.
    • Manage and monitor systems using monitoring software.
    • Conduct operational meetings with customer.
    • Writing/updating technical design, configuration-build and process documentation.
Skills/Experience required for the Job:
  • Good working knowledge in Microsoft Windows Server OS, where documented knowledge/certifications for Windows 2012/2016/2019 would be an advantage. Experience working in VMware (ESXi/vCenter) installation and administration. Working experience in Linux Administration (Redhat Enterprise). Working experience on Public Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Alibaba). Experience with Database administration (especially MS SQL) and storage infrastructure (especially Dell EMC PowerFlex & NetApp) would be a big plus.Experience in systems performance monitoring. Able to carry out deep level OS troubleshooting and problem resolution Strong knowledge in McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (Antivirus, Data Loss Prevention, etc) and Netbackup/HP Data Protector.Working experience of installation and operation of Windows Servers (2012/2016/2019) operating systems, software and storage/backup solutions.Proficient in PowerShell (incl. vSphere PowerCLI) scripting. ITIL Foundation certified or equivalent work experience.
