Job Description

Core Responsibilities -

  • Implement the technical solutions for the next generation data platform
  • Hands-on Java development
  • Develop a deep understanding of the internal data domains and systems
  • Engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders at other geographic centres around the world effectively to drive the right solutions in line with the target architecture
  • Take ownership of operational issues and perform both short-term resolution, and development of preventive measures for the longer term
  • Responsible for application flow, including configuration, scheduling control and scripting.
  • Proactively monitor system health and respond to alerts to provide high availability and performance of the application set including automation of health checks.
  • Responsible for Problem, Change, Incident management and automation of application/system monitoring
Essential Characteristics - Core Requirement Filters:
  • Strong technical expertise in Java 6 or above (preferably Java 8.0), collection framework, Concurrency, memory management etc.
  • Good knowledge of Spring, Spring boot, Junit, Unix/Linux scripting skills.
  • Good knowledge of DB (Sybase /Oracle) and should be able to write complex DB queries.
  • Good knowledge of no-sql database (preferably Cassandra)
  • Willing to work in different time zones, if needed
  • background in any of the following languages (Sybase preferred)

  • FIX
  • MQ/Message queue/Solace
  • EMS (execution platforms)
  • Akka Framework
