Purpose of position (Overall contribution to corporate goals) :To ensure the highest delivery service to the customer through the management and control of the transport channel for Hilti Private limited.Core Accountabilities :- Driving strategy of Transportation function with 3 years plan for both forward and reverse transportation - Defining and designing transportation strategy to drive transportation performance and ensure high service levels.- Management of transportation cost to drive productivity- Active contribution in defining the Hilti India Logistics road map for future and driving Company and function priorities - Manages transport service to the customer through QBR, MBR and building long term sustainable capabilities for Hilti- Developing reporting capabilities and transport MIS. Ensuring proactive track and trace mechanism to drive right decision for the function - Ensuring transportation and delivery performance (Carrier Reliability). Active control for customer deliveries, Distribution centers & Hilti Centre replenishment, returns and Repairs - Develop solutions for premium logistics services for the customer such as (job-site delivery, same-day delivery etc.) - Analyze and monitor transport market and react early on trends and changes - Tendering of all transport services.- Understanding the best practices in transportation in Hilti global and in other industry and implementation of the same- Focus on development of skill set of reporting team members, develop them of higher and bigger roles - Define and implement Hazmat Management Programs compliant with local, regional and international governing agencies that include policy, training and management visibility Key Performance Indicators :- Delivery performance (Carrier reliability) - for customer deliveries, Distribution centers and Hilti center replenishment, returns and repairs (AMS).- Transport cost productivity- Transport quality (customer complaints)Applicant Profile:- Overall Experience - 5-10 Years- Has experience in concept and strategy development - Has supply chain experience preferably Transportation & Logistics- Educational Background -MBA - Operations - Knowledge of the respective freight market - Strong analytical skills - Good negotiation and communication skills,
