Job Description

Senior/Principal Product Development Analyst Automotive Supply Chain & TechnologyDescription of DutiesThe Automotive Supply Chain and Technology team at IHS Markit is searching for a Senior/Principal Product Development Analyst to support its global teams ongoing product development and delivery efforts. The Product Delivery team continues to develop global client facing platforms presenting client content in different forms such as query-able data, intuitive analytics and written news articles or reports.We are looking for a motivated and energetic Senior/Principal Product Development Analyst to assist us in developing content, manipulating images whilst aiding the team in the delivery of ongoing refinements and updates to the platforms.To be successful as our Senior/Principal Product Development Analyst, you should be able to monitor product performance to make product recommendations and deliver new and updated content to customers. You will work closely with different departments within the company, liaise and build relationships with external publications, manipulate images for use within the platforms and design and analyse industry surveys, all with the overall objective of delivering a better product experience for our customers.The position is based in Gurgaon or Bangalore, India working in our Product Delivery team with a close working relationship with our Digital Product Owner and Research Analyst. The role reports to our U.K. based Associate Director: Senior Product Manager.IHS Markit facilitates time flexibility for working hours, should there be extended time needed for specific tasks and projects.Responsibilities and duties

  • Continually evaluate the company customer facing automotive products and compare them against industry trends.
  • Develop an understanding of company automotive products across all content areas including data, analytics, and descriptive content to meet the companys current and future needs.
  • Assist with product and rating reviews.
  • Develop and oversee small scale projects including the delivery to internal and external customers.
  • Analyse metrics to continually improve company products.
  • Contribute to company operations, such as costing, planning, and budgeting.
  • Develop content for use in the platforms and with global publications.
  • Manipulate images for use in the platforms and with global publications.
  • Develop and analyse industry surveys to find specific trends whilst creating new and updating existing content for the platforms.
  • Assist the company in achieving short and long-term goals relating to product growth.
  • Work with other company departments to improve the analysis and presentation of products.
Qualifications and skills
  • 8+ years experience in a global company.
  • Bachelor s degree in business, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Previous product analysis, web usage analysis and stakeholder management experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently whilst under pressure.
  • Extremely well organised with an ability to adapt to change.
  • The capability to balance customer needs against the company s vision.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • A collaborative team spirit.
