Job Description

  • Network monitoring, Remote administration, configuration, trouble shooting, deployment, IP Schema, IP Protocol, implementation and support of IP addresses, routing, network filters, and any other applicable operational Configuration parameters for all managed Network devices.
  • Primarily Customer Network Support within agreed SLA, troubleshooting of network related issues including resolution of outages/incidents as well as Service Request functions.
  • Coordination with other support teams for issue resolution (if required).
  • Excellent knowledge about enterprise level customer network architecture.
  • Ensuring successful implementation of changes needed for network performance optimization, new requirements etc.
  • Effective communication and coordination of events during handling incidents for any critical network outages.
  • Proper documentation of incidents, service request, and change requests as per standard process.
  • Proper handling the incidents escalated from NOC Level-1 engineer / Customer escalated issues & drive them towards resolution.
  • Experience in interacting with TAC centers for both equipment vendors and WAN service providers.

Skills/Experience required for the Job:
  • Strong knowledge in OSI & TCP/IP Network protocol architecture, Layering benefits and concept, functions of different layers, switches and LAN design, VLAN s, VTP, STP, RSTP, MSTP.
  • Cisco Router & Switch experience with emphasis on IOS / CatOS. , Nexus (Intermediate level )
  • Experience on configuration and maintenance of F5 load balancer.
  • Strong knowledge in Routing protocols (RIP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP,IPX etc).
  • Strong knowledge in WAN transport technologies (Frame Relay, ATM, Private/Leased Line, MPLS, ISDN, PPP, HDLC)
  • Strong knowledge in LAN technologies (Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi)
  • VPN Technologies (IPSec, SSL, , Cisco Anyconnect, Cisco EasyVPN, DMVPN)
  • Experience on troubleshooting various site to site and Remote access VPN related issues.
  • Authentication, authorization, encryption mechanisms (LDAP, RADIUS, TACACS+, PKI, SSL, SSH)
  • Quality of Service, Multicasting
  • Knowledge on F5 load balancer.
  • Wireless LAN technologies, Cisco unified wireless LAN solution etc.
  • WAN Acceleration & compression services
  • Experience on installation, configuration and maintenance of Cisco multilayer switches, Cisco routers.
  • Working knowledge with Encryption Technologies.
  • Log management system.
  • Working knowledge on Ticketing & NMS Tools (e.g. IONIX, W4N, NMS loader, SMART, SERVICE NOW etc.).
  • Experience in Implementation of IMAC requests via remote support, e.g.
  • Updating of drivers and firmware
  • Updating IOS through scripts and templates
  • Configuration of device from scripts
  • Configuration of monitoring software from scripts
  • Testing and documentation of installation activities
  • Experience in firewall configuration changes
