Job Description

    Graviton is a privately funded quantitative trading firm striving for excellence in financial markets research. We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer for our team in Gurgaon. Graviton trades across a multitude of asset classes and trading venues using a gamut of concepts and techniques ranging from time series analysis, filtering, classification, stochastic models, pattern recognition to statistical inference analysing terabytes of data to come up with ideas to identify pricing anomalies in financial markets.Responsibilities:
    • Run the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health
    • Gather and analyze metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
    • Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications
    • Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-production of our suite of software solutions
    • Establish and employ CI practices to create continuous delivery systems
    • Measure and optimize system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating to continually improve
    • Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large distributed software applications
    • Partner with other developers to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
    • Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts
    Required Skills:
    • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.
    • Experience with application performance and log monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Prometheus, etc.
    • Good understanding of DevOps concepts and best practices
    • Expert knowledge of Linux OS capabilities
    • Experience deploying and supporting high traffic, scalable web applications/services
    • Excellent analysis, debugging, root-cause identification, and troubleshooting skills in high-throughput web applications & network services
    • Working knowledge of Python and Bash scripting
    Good to have:
    • Knowledge on orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
    • Experience and knowledge in RDBMS databases such as Postgres, etc.
    • Experience with build tools such as Jenkins, Maven etc.
    • Operational understanding or experience with message brokers such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.
    • Experience with workflow management systems like Airflow, etc.
    • Exposure to fintech or high frequency trading domains
