Deliverables for this position focus on cloud engineering, industry standards adoption and technology design in support of improved cloud maturity. The candidate will directly engage with automotive product development teams on optimizing cloud use, development and governance best practices.Duties & accountabilities

  • Ensures availability, performance, security and scalability of AWS based production systems.
  • Be actively involved in design, maintenance and management of tools for automation of different operational processes
  • Recommends solutions and/or new technologies based upon business value drivers, proven architecture principles and patterns
  • Works directly with product development teams to accelerate adoption of native cloud capabilities
Business competenciesEducation and experience
  • 6+ years of experience in a DevOps engineering role
  • Experience in code development in at least one high-level programming language. Python preferred.
  • In-depth experience with working in AWS environments, including provisioning, operations and management of these environments
  • Experience with big data operations such as supporting movement of large volumes of data in a cloud environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of development best practices such as CI/CD using tools like Gitlab
  • Experience building highly automated cloud infrastructures for big data and analytics related deployments
  • Knowledge of distributed systems technologies such as Spark.
  • Knowledge of Networks, Database, Storage, Management Systems.
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related technical field.
