Job Description

*JOB SUMMARYThe Big Data & Enterprise Analytics team is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join us to evaluate trends, characterize factors, develop predictive models, and identify optimization opportunities which are integral to the business. In this role you will leverage data assets to deliver analytical solutions that drive strategic objectives. In addition, you will apply statistical methods to large data sets (e.g. Data Lake) to derive meaning and actionable context as well as apply data mining techniques, statistical analysis, and build high quality prediction systems for integration with our internal products. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement new statistical or other mathematical methodologies as needed for specific models or analysis
  • Research and develop statistical learning models for data analysis
  • Collaborate with operational and clinical departments to understand company needs and devise solutions
  • Communicate results and ideas to key decision makers
  • Build and optimize models using machine learning techniques
  • Extend company data with third party sources of information when needed
  • Enhance data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems
  • Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis
  • Performing ad-hoc analysis and present results in a clear manner
  • Design and develop scalable, efficient data pipeline processes to handle data assimilation, cleansing, transformation, integration, and validation
  • Collaborate with cross functional team to resolve data quality and operational issues and ensure timely delivery of products
  • Leverage existing data sets and engineer new data sets including development of SQL queries, data integration, and resolution of data quality issues
  • Use database query tools and statistical, analytical, and visualization software to extract, manipulate, analyze, interpret, and visualize data trends and patterns and uncover insights
, *QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Masters or PhD degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Analytical Science, Economics, or other related field
  • Experience with data science toolkits such as Python, R, Spark ML; excellence in at least two of these is highly desirable
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI
  • Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL, Hive QL, Spark
  • Experience with NoSQL databases such as HBase
  • Experience with data science methods related to classification analysis, clustering analysis, and forecasting & prediction
  • Experience developing dashboards and reporting visual insights to less technical stakeholders
  • Experience implementing models like logistic regression, decision trees, random forest, na ve bayes, support vector machines, exponential smoothing, ARIMA, and neural networks
  • Experience with text analytics methods such as text harvesting, topic extraction, text mining, TF/IDF analysis, n-gram analysis, and sentiment analysis
  • Experience enabling enterprise advanced analytics business capabilities such as temporal identification, geo-location detection, differencing analysis, community analysis, deep learning frameworks, recommender engines, anomaly detection, simulation & optimization, insights visualization, and natural language processing
  • Above average attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational, interpersonal, and team-oriented skills
  • Must be a self-starter and be willing to take accountability for projects, problems and issues
  • Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines is necessary
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
