For the first time, market participants would have access to a robust end of day valuation that represented an aggregated view of a credit, as opposed to the view of a single market maker. This data was provided on equal terms to whoever wanted to use it, with the same data released to all customers at the same time, giving both the sell-side and buy-side access to exactly the same daily valuation and risk management information.Position summaryThe successful candidate will play a key part in maintaining the smooth running of the day-to-day operations and working closely with other functions and understanding products that have upstream and downstream linkages for the flagship CDS product. On the technical aspect, the candidate will use advanced Excel, VBA and SQL skills translating operational requirements into technical solutions and tools.Duties & accountabilities

  • Operational maintenance of Credit products as detailed by Credit ops management team.
  • Delivery of set targets with desired quality parameters.
  • Identify data quality improvement projects.
  • Identification of opportunities to enhance operational efficiency
  • Client (internal and external) support for data.
  • Assist in data analysis and compiling regular metrics of operational activity including data quality statistics
  • Root Cause analysis on client issues and data quality gap to be constantly identified to incorporate improvements
Business competenciesEducation and experience
  • Graduate degree/ Post Graduate or equivalent in ideally Finance, Economics, Business.
  • 0-2 years experience in similar industry
Commercial awareness
  • Ideally an understanding of financial markets or alternatively demonstrates a strong interest in the mechanics of financial markets.
  • Understanding of the Bond /CDS markets is preferred
Technical requirements
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and SQL
  • Working knowledge of Visual Basic in Excel is an added advantage
