About the opportunityJob DescriptionThe Technical Consultant role is focused on delivery of critical functionality for existing and new applications of HR and GC. The candidate is expected to devise solutions to complex problems while working within project constraints and requirements with special focus on maintainability, scalability, and performance. The successful candidate will be a key member of the delivery team currently in India. As a new joiner the individual is expected to bring up to date ideas and thoughts on tools, practices etc.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and deliver technically sound solutions in Oracle technologies.

• Lead and guide a team of developers/senior developers
• Create technical design of the application, document and present it to senior stakeholders
• Interact with senior architects and other consultants to understand and review the technical solution and direction
• Communicate with business analysts to discuss various business requirements
• Proactively refactor code/solution, be aggressive about tech debt identification and reduction
• Develop, maintain and troubleshoot issues; and take a leading role in the ongoing support and enhancements of the applications
• Help in maintaining the standards, procedures and best practices in the team. Also help his team to follow these standards.
• Prioritisation of requirements in pipeline with stakeholders
• Manage the change requests, Oracle related Code review and ensure code is in a good shape from Auditing perspective

• Responsible for the design and implementation of -
  • Understanding business requirements and data sets and translate into conceptual and logical data models
  • Data warehouse Target Data Modeling - Facts and Dimensions and Staging area
  • Materialized View, Secure views and other relevant database objects
  • Data extraction and integration from various sources.
  • Well versed with Incremental extraction and loads - batched and streaming
  • Data Migration including initial loads
  • Data analysis, source system analysis and preparing data mappings sheets
  • Writing complex data transformation jobs, queries and stored procedures.
• Conceptual, logical, and physical data models and provide support to domain data SMEs
• Warehouse designs. Query profiling and analysis to identify area of opportunities to reduce cost and to improve performance
• Adhering to FIL Data Modeling standards and guidelines
• Work with senior staff and business leaders to identify requirement for data/information across the core business domains
• Work with Project Managers and Business Analysts and other subject matter experts to prepare work breakdown structures, dependencies and suggest priorities
• Working with Report and Dashboard developers to ensure data models are in line with reporting requirements
• Applying relevant security guidelines
• Good analysis skills to be able to join the dots across multiple applications and interfaces between them
• Execute changes: document technical design specifications, development and testing
• Perform POC, new integrations across multiple set of technologies and patterns related around data
• Performing automated unit and integration tests, supporting UAT and production releases
• Troubleshoot query, tools, systems, and software; performance-tune these applications as necessary
• Guide/mentor juniors in the team and review code artefacts
• Participate in SW development lifecycle at various stages (Requirement, Testing, SIT, UAT etc) for validation & verification of proposed solution for a business problem

Experience and Qualifications Required

• B.E./B.Tech. or M.C.A. in Computer Science from a reputed University.
• 10-14 years overall experience within relevant technologies

Essential Skills

• Strong Experience with Oracle Database.
• Strong hands on experience on SQL and PL/SQL skills (Packages/Functions/Ref cursors). Transformation Language - Python.
• Strong understanding of RDBMS Concepts, DWH concepts
• Well versed with Data security concepts in Oracle.
• Experience in Advanced performance aspects of large databases
• Strong understanding of AWS system
• 6 experience working as Data Modeler with background in Data warehousing and ETL
• 4 Experience of using any data modeling tool
• 2 Experience with Snowflake product (Data on Cloud)
• 2 Hand on experience with AWS eco system (API Gateway, EC2, S3, Lambda)
• Well versed with data extraction and data transformation
• Experience in strategies for Data Testing, Data Quality, Code Quality, Code Coverage
• Experience in Data migration projects including initial loads
• Sound analytical & debugging skills.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills suitable for a diverse audience, with the ability to communicate in a positive, friendly, and effective manner with technical or non-technical users/ customers

Desirable Skills

• Exposure in Cloud (Snowflake DB)
• Data transformations, and data Ingestion and orchestration Pipelines using nifi, AWS, kafka, spark, Python
• DevOps experience (CI/CD) using Jenkins or AWS Code Pipeline, etc., for Snowflake
• Exposure of continuous integration toolsets like Bamboo, Urban Deploy
• Programming Language - Python or Java
• Good understanding of software development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.)
• Exposure and knowledge of HR domain
• Excellent inter-team relationship skills
