Job Description

Role overviewTo help us achieve our goals, we are seeking a Front End Lead to join our team. You will leverage your knowledge to develop new consumer-focused products using modern Engineering. As a developer at Weight Watchers, your code, designs, and decisionswill be highly visible, and will directly impact and delight our users.Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Front-End Lead who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.Responsibilities

  • Design and implement low-latency, highly available and performing applications that scale for millions of users.
  • Apply creative problem solving skills to build out new features and iterate on existing features.
  • Writing tested and documented JavaScript, Jquery, HTML5 and CSS3
  • Make design and technical decisions for React Js projects.
  • Develop application code and unit test in the Javascript, technologies for the Application Development Center.
  • Increase test coverage via unit tests and integration tests
  • Help define architectures and design patterns
  • Actively participate in PR reviews in GitHub
  • Participate in Agile sprint
  • Work closely with product, QA and UX teams to design the best solutions for our consumers
  • Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
Skills And Qualifications
  • Object Oriented JavaScript, JQuery is must.
  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
  • Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
  • Must have Team Handling experience.
  • A developer should have the knowledge of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as ReactJS
  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as{{Git / Mercurial / SVN}}
  • Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
  • Experience with rendering techniques and writing high performing code
  • BS/Btech degree in Computer Science or equivalent academic or professional background
