You will be responsible for an effective financial control environment which encompasses
Ability to comprehend business Balance sheet and PL - technical and operational accounting of positions, composition, explanation of contributors to periodic movements and should be able to provide commentaries with relevant business context
Ensure completeness and accuracy of ledger data, Monthly BS and PL substantiation and analysis correct position in account, business and entity.
Ensure all accounts are correctly substantiated and adequate for Reporting / Tax / Legal Entity Control & Analytical requirements
Month end/Period end activities including GL close, BS Substantiation, Journals, BS commentaries, Submissions, and liaising with stakeholders for various queries.
Hands on knowledge of transfer pricing (TP) and commonly used underlying TP Models.
Good understanding of Intercompany bookings, Reconciliations and causes of breaks
Financial/ Regulatory/ Tax reporting submissions - Technical requirement & Business context
New transactions / deals / products / entities / acquisitions/ restructures
Below will be preferredKnowledge of Trading/Markets business and underlying products including fixed income, equities, derivatives, FX etc.
Well versed with latest accounting standards and their impact on recognition and accounting of financials instruments in financial statements
Detailed awareness of Trade recognition, Life cycle (Trade Execution to Reporting) and its Accounting.
Knowledge of Front Office/Middle Office Systems.

Your qualifications
Postgraduate accounting qualification, CA /CPA/MBA
10 + years of relevant post qualification experience
Good understanding of reporting requirements under IFRS, particularly standards that are relevant to the Banking Industry
Prior experience in the Banking/ Financial services is a requisite
