Exp in Years : 15-20 yrs Salary Range (lacs p.a.) : 19-24 lacs p.a A well-established business house with varied business interests, is looking for a Supply Chain professional for their Cement Plant with a capacity is 2.1 Million tons p.a. and to be increased to 6 MMT. The company has its own Limestone mines and is very well connected to the East-West corridor. The railway line runs adjacent to the factory and the siding work is getting ready. A brilliant progressive team comprising of industry stalwarts forms a part of the Management Team Position Reports to: COO 1. Logistics Planning Prepare 5 year plan and provide inputs for business plan to COO and CSO in line with the logistics strategy Understand competitor strategies for logistics related activities and provide inputs to Business Heads Prepare logistics capital investment plan for additional infrastructure based on 5 year business plan Prepare a logistics plan for approved production budget, including type of transport contracts needed and hedging strategy to counter freight rate volatility2. Logistics Operations Management Direct overall logistics operations, logistics costs and timely dispatch at plant location Ensure implementation of all logistics related policies within the department Coordinate logistics support to ensure sales targets are achieved as per the timelines Effect cost reduction initiatives and improvements in service time levels 3. People Management Recruit and staff the team, conduct appraisals and provide training and motivate them to contribute their best Education Qualification :- Master in Business Administration (Sales & marketing ) from a premier institute engineering background preferable Technical skills: - Product knowledge, sales & distribution channels logistics operations ( rail and road transporters), knowledge of construction industry Experience required:- 15- 20 years experience of which the last five years has been in the role of leading a logistics team for a cement manufacturer ,
