Job Description

Job Purpose (Job Summary): To provide technical analyst and software engineering capabilities that support the workflow automation needs of Invesco s Investment Services business. Work will be passionate about providing support and administration to 3rd party platforms and toolsets being implemented as part of a new Automation Practice within Investment Services to improve operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities / Duties:

• Provide technology support to the initial implementation and ongoing use of Appian, a cloud based, low code business process management (BPM) application suite
• Provide technology support to implementations and ongoing use of Machine Learning components of Appian using Python and explore opportunities to automate processes using Python
• Have relevant Database skills at least in one of the databases like SQL Server, MY SQL or Oracle to be able to scale up and write queries and stored procedures
• Finish the tasks related to technical analysis, building and unit testing, quality assurance, system test and implementation in accordance with Invesco s Enterprise Architecture standards
• Work closely with business analysts, project managers, architects and other developers to design and implement automation solutions, using Appian and Alteryx, that support the Investment Services business
• Understand Investment Services business and make recommendations and technology suggestions to advance workflow automation
• Understand architecture of applications in order to optimally solve problems and develop more efficient production processes.
• Be prepared to carry out business analysis tasks to ensure that the development/change meets user requirements and expectations.
• Prepare for and support user acceptance testing.Perform quality assurance tests on the work of other developers.
• Prepare all vital documentation and processes to enable ongoing support of the systems.Connect with internal and external customers, supervisors and management using clear, user-friendly terminology (emails, chat, phone, meetings).
• Assist project and line managers in producing estimates for the development phase of projects and enhancements.

Working Conditions:

• Normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust and temperatures.
• The ability to lift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 10 pounds is also vital.
• Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending upon the project or assignment. Hours may include evenings and/or weekends
• Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally. Frequency and duration to be determined by manager.

Work Experience / Knowledge:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of confirmed systems development experience using structured methods
• Formal training in systems analysis and computer programming
• Grasp of relational database design and development life cycle principles
• Demonstrable experience of working in project teams and with third party vendors
• Desire to keep abreast of new development tools and methods
• Experience working with Microsoft technologies and associated design principals
• Experience developing and integrating API s and web services
• Experience working in an agile scrum development environment preferred
• Experience with business intelligence reporting tools preferred (PowerBI, Tableau)
• Experience with ETL concepts and development preferred
• Familiarity with DevOps principals preferred
• Familiarity with AWS Cloud technologies preferred
• AWS Certified candidates are preferred

Specific Technical Skills Required:Microsoft & Low Code DeveloperExperience with Python, API integration, SQL Server, Unit Testing Frameworks, VisioWorkflow & AnalyticsExperience working with Appian Business Process Management (BPM) suite or similar business process management tools preferred Formal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)

• A Bachelor s Degree in Computer Information Systems Computer Science is helpful or commensurate relevant work experience
