Job Description

This is a hands-on role for a Senior developer for developing IT solutions for AML and screening applications in State Street. The job entails implementing vendor products in State Street, building interfaces between financial applications of State Street and the vendor products to screen transactions and entities for Sanctions and AML. Person will perform development and implementation of IT solutions using these technologies: Exadata Oracle, Linux, Java, MQ, Hadoop, and Cloud platform. Person will also be expected to perform L4 production support and deployments in after business hours including evenings and weekends.Person will be expected to attend daily stand up meetings up to 11 AM ET/USA. Person will be required to attend meeting with vendor to resolve product issues and evaluate new modules of the productPerson will begin with work in one application but will gradually expand role to work in 3 applications, all under sanctions screening.Candidate Requirements:

  • The candidate must have minimum 5 years of experience in software development. In particular experience in Oracle, and Unix is required.
  • Scripting experience in Unix shell scripts is required.
  • Deep experience in requirements analysis and system design is required, Experience in gathering and analyzing business requirements is required.
  • Proven problem solving, communication, interpersonal and analytical skills are required. Job entails working with senior people in user community and other IT shared service groups in State Street so strong communication skills is a must.
  • Strong database design and coding skills are required.
  • Translating business requirements into actionable Technical specifications is required.
  • Person must be self motivated, must be able to work independently without requiring close supervision.
  • Person must be able to provide technical guidance to other team members and contractors in offshore.
Other requirements:
  • Experience in Big data, Scala, Python, MQ Queues, XML, Autosys, Clearcase is a plus.
  • Experience in Java technologies is a plus.
  • Experience with Oracle internals, performance tuning, analyzing AWR reports is a plus.
  • Deep experience in analyzing and resolving user reported problems is a plus.
  • Experience in Production support is a plus.
EducationBachelor s Degree level qualification in a computer or IT related subject.,
