Job Description

    * Associate, Java Backend with Python, Enterprise Architect Site Reliability Engineering Business Function Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Banks operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels. Job Responsibilities:
    • Contribute to all stages of software development lifecycle.
    • Design, implement and maintain Java-based applications that can be high-volume and low-latency.
    • Analyze user requirements to define business objectives.
    • Define application objectives and functionality.
    • Develop and test software.
    • Identify and resolve any technical issues arising.
    • Implement security and data protection solutions.
    • Propose changes to current Java/Python infrastructure.
    • Develop technical designs for application development.
    • Write well designed, testable code.
    • Conducting software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging.
    • Manage Java and Java EE application development.
    • Develop documentation to help users.
    • Support continuous improvement, investigating alternatives and technologies, and presenting for architectural review.
    • Follow agile process for development.
    • Leveraging critical thinking and adaptability to solve complex issues.
    Requirement:
    • Overall 4+ year of experience with Java and Python Development.
    • Engineering/Computer Science degree or equivalent experience.
    • Previous experience as a Developer or in a similar role.
    • Proficiency in Java and Python, with a good understanding of its ecosystems.
    • Sound knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Patterns and Concepts.
    • Familiarity with different design and architectural patterns.
    • Skill for writing reusable Java libraries.
    • Basic Understanding of the concepts of MVC (Model-View-Controller) Pattern, JDBC (Java Database Connectivity), and RESTful web services.
    • Ability to write clean, readable Java code.
    • Skilled at creating database schemas that characterize and support business processes.
    • Knowledge of code versioning tools, for instance, Git.
    • Understanding of building tools like Ant, Maven, Gradle, etc
    • Web Technologies like HTML, JavaScript, CSS, JQuery and Markup Languages such as XML, JSON.
    • Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field; a Master s is a plus
    • Should have experience in databases.
    • Understanding of opensource technologies.
    • Understanding of web technologies, including web services, web application servers and RESTful APIs.
    • Expertise in building and consuming APIs.
    • Comfortable working in Agile environment.
    • Should have working knowledge of git, bitbucket and JIRA.
    • Past experience on working in a bank is preferred but not mandatory.
