Job Description

  • The Database Administrator shall possess 4 years of technical knowledge with Oracle PLUS 1-2 years with one (MS SQL/MySQL/Postgres) other DB platforms.
  • Hand-on experience in database administration with Oracle including monitoring, capacity planning, load balancing, performance tuning, high availability and multi-sites Disaster Recovery deployments on complex database environments: Oracle 9i/10g/11g/12c, Data guard, standby, RMAN, snapshot standby and etc.
  • Help on various key database initiatives to align with corporate and Cloud Operation goals included in data center migration and etc.
  • Knowledge with complex SQL and PL/SQL, programming and optimization
  • Liaise with database vendor for ongoing support matter, bug fixes, patch release
  • Work, establish and maintain regular communications with peers and cross-functional teams across multiple locations regarding related database activities/projects
  • Develop and implement best practices, policies, and procedures for database administration
  • Create and maintain documentation for the above

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
  • Total 4yr experience as Oracle DBA, strong shell scripting, Linux command line skills.
  • 1-2yr with one (MS SQL/MySQL/Postgres) other DB platforms.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Should be ready to work on weekend and after-hours deployment tasks as and when required.
