Job Description

    In this position, you will be part of a research and development organization that is focused on new product technologies for the mobile and automotive markets. You will work closely with your peers to research product technical requirements, develop a bench char strategy to validate electrical characteristics, and generate hardware and software solutions that utilize Automated Test Equipment for data collection. You will work collaboratively with Definition, Design, and Applications Engineers to communicate your findings, root-cause product issues, and identify opportunities for resolution. Ultimately, our goal is to provide quality products to our end customers.If you are interested in a challenging yet rewarding position where you can use your skills to resolve technical issues through handson software and hardware techniques, then come join an energetic team of Test and Evaluation Engineering professionalsKey Responsibilities:Research product electrical requirements and then develop a bench char plan to validate performance over the necessary process, voltage, or temperature variants.Develop product bias conditions that will be used to support JEDEC qualification tests (Ex. HTOL and HAST). Define requirements for semiconductor ESD testing (Ex. HBM and CDM).Identify key product electrical requirements, research bench equipment capabilities, and develop new test methodologies where required.Design, fabricate, and assemble PCB hardware that will be used for product validation. This includes schematic capture, component selection, and PCB layout.Collect product data using typical bench instrumentation, analyze the results, and create supporting documentation. Work with test engineers to correlate results with ATE and communicate performance findings to technical peers and the overall development team.Automate bench equipment using National Instruments LabVIEW software.Manage customer returns when applicable. This includes bench validation, failure analysis, and material containment. Work with design, applications, and end-customers to root cause product or implementation issues., *Qualifications:Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Computer Engineering fields8 - 10yrs experience in a relevant technical position that demonstrates the candidate s capabilities and performanceStrong understanding of the fundamental digital and analog circuit functionStrong written and verbal skills. Able to effectively communicate technical details to internal peers and external vendors. Ability to work in teams and collaborate with people from different functional groupsExperience with the utilization of lab equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and source-measure unitsProgramming skills in C/C++ and/or experience with National Instruments LabVIEW software would be beneficialFamiliar with PCB development software tools such as DxDesigner and PADS would be beneficialCandidate must be highly motivated and able to demonstrate a history of independently solving technical problems and identifying electrical circuit performance issuesDemonstrated history of taking personal initiative to resolve issues and drive for resultsPlease Apply Online At: http://www.onsemi.com/caree
