Global Accounts Business Development ManagerPosting Location : Location Remote US CAPosting date 1 day ago(3/2/2021 6:50 AM)Job ID 85261 Job summary The Red Hat Industries and Global Accounts (GA) Development team is looking for a Global Accounts Business Development Manager to join us. In this role, you will complement the efforts of the regional sales teams. Your success will assist the global industries and GA teams in pipeline development, pipeline acceleration, customer evangelism, and sales enablement through the sharing of best practices and industry insights. Youll enable and support the Industries and GA sales team to achieve quarterly and annual revenue and growth targets focused on key global and strategic accounts. As a subject matter expert, you will identify various opportunities to develop Red Hats business around specific use cases like edge computing, internet of things (IoT), and artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). Your key success factors will include GA booking (single and multi-year) and revenue sales growth goals, development and delivery of a cross-business strategy and model for effective capture of the evolving edge computing and the AI and ML opportunity, and the development and delivery of a partner portfolio plan for edge computing and the AI and ML opportunity. You should also be able to identify emerging key players and a proposed strategy for establishing, expanding, and leveraging relationships to grow incremental revenue. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business. Primary job responsibilities

  • Focus on edge go-to-market strategies to identify industry-specific business value in edge-based data analytics and other high-value services to be offered by moving compute power to the edge of the network
  • As a chief advocate, spearhead industry-specific sales enablement capabilities in order to promote content-rich value to the field sales teams in the telco, financial services industry (FSI), transportation, and energy verticals
  • Collaborate with the partner ecosystem team in developing new and emerging solutions for the edge, AI, and ML technologies that will lead to pipeline growth opportunities
  • Develop deep learning technologies to bring real-time AI to telco, FSI, transportation, and energy sectors
  • Collaborate with Red Hat s and IBM s research teams on building and developing innovative AI and ML solutions and contribute vision and expertise to key deep learning initiatives in the GA and across the company
  • Focus on engaging our top target accounts to augment the field sales teams ability to build pipeline and close emerging product opportunities through Red Hat s executive engagement management and alignment and C-Level relationship coaching to assist the field sales teams with strategies and insights to improve relationships and grow incremental revenue
Required skills
  • Bachelors degree in business administration, marketing or a technical discipline; MBA is a plus
  • Deep understanding of and experience selling telecommunication carrier software solutions; prior experience in the emerging network functions virtualization (NFV) space is a plus
  • Proven record selling and understanding FSI systems architectures and associated technologies that support them
  • 10-15 years of solid leadership skills in a technology sales organization (software is a big plus), with demonstrated success achieving sales targets in both direct and channel routes to market
  • Successful record of delivering annual sales targets in excess of $10-$15M
  • Proven experience developing sales organizations that consistently deliver double digit year-over-year increases in revenue
  • Excellent planning, financial, and analytical skills; proven ability to apply these skills to complex situations with competing priorities
  • Good customer orientation and presentation skills
  • Ability to partner with senior business leaders to understand needs and deliver solutions that meet expectations
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and design novel approaches that balance local customer needs with corporate guidelines and philosophies
  • Background in positioning and selling network and network services within the telecommunications marketplace
  • Ability to articulate and evangelize the vision and positioning of both Red Hat and open source technology and secure long-term customer commitments
  • Experience building and developing successful relationships within telecommunications carriers, system integrators (SIs), independent software vendors (ISVs), and partners
