Job Description

The Human Resources Information Systems team is looking for a functional HRIS senior analyst to join our team as we start to implement many upgrades/updates to our HRIS system. This role will have the opportunity to step into a high-functioning team that is focused on improving the system for our customers and utilizing delivered HRIS features to meet the needs of the business. Duties include creating complex functional design specifications for business/ERP applications and this role will collaborate with business users (Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, etc). We also partner with IT as they develop technical solutions from our requirements.Potential Specialty Areas: HR, Payroll, Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Reporting, Integrations, Performance ManagementESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAn employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.HRIS functional subject matter expert.Collaborates with end users to validate and translate requirements into detailed delivery designs.Validates and confirms new or changed functionalities to ensure customer specifications are met.Maintains system security to ensure data confidentiality.Writes complex reports using the HRIS reporting tool.Gathers information for reported incidents and problems, assists with troubleshooting, and escalates as needed.Establishes and maintains robust working relationships with leaders and end-users within designated support area(s), as well as analysts.Supports end users and provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for supported systems.Conducts complex business needs assessments, cost/benefit analyses, and reviews business structure, policies, and operations to assist in supporting business/ERP applications.Collaborates with end users to validate and translate requirements into detailed delivery designs.Validates and confirms new or changed functionalities to ensure customer specifications are met.Creates complex functional and technical design specifications and collaborates with analysts and other IT professionals to design solutions.Performs workflow assessments, capture business needs, and analyze internal systems to determine functional requirements for optimal utilization of business/ERP applications.Analyzes business processes and activities and recommends improvements.Coordinates and communicates the development, implementation, and production of integrated technology systems.Provides functional consulting on complex projects and guidance concerning the business implications of the application of various systems.Creates systems documentation including business process flows (BPF), test scripts, user acceptance testing (UAT) scenarios, end-user documentation and guides and training materials.Responsible for training users in the interpretation of information systems reports, report capabilities, and limitations.Assists in establishing systems analysis, configuration, and computer operations priorities in order to provide effective service to end users.Plans, develops and executes functional, system regression, integration and performance testing.Contacts and works with vendors to resolve complex software issues with delivered functionality.Researches vendor products to stay current on new and existing functionality. Uses discretion and independent judgment is exchanged, defended, gathered and/or presented. Defers to higher level team members and/or management only when necessary.Supervision Received: Works under limited supervision and with a high degree of independence, conferring with supervisor and/or manager on unusual matters. May be assisted by lower level employees.QualificationsEDUCATION Bachelors degree is required.EXPERIENCE Minimum of five (5) years of related experience is required.EQUIVALENCY Combination of post-high school education, job related certification, and/or related experience equivalent to nine (9) years may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements.Prior experience with COGNOS would be an advantage.,
