Job Description

  • Collaborate with development and test teams to help automate a complex build and deployment system with Python, Docker virtualization tool, and Jenkins
  • As a DevOps thinker, bring development and IT ops processes, people and tools closer together - in order to increase the speed, efficiency and quality with which we deliver technical solutions for GVC brands.
  • Take responsibility for test infrastructure including environments and software, liaising with teams such as DevOps and Support in areas such as CICDDesign the deployment Pipeline, setup activities that support the transition of application and infrastructure services from development through to production.
  • Provides DevOps thought leadership and mentoring in both advisory and delivery contexts, focusing on the requirements of Technology and Business and how these are best served by continuous improvements to our delivery approach
  • Coaching and guiding colleagues in the progression and development of their personal and technical skills
  • Familiar with agile software development methodologies (e.g. SCRUM / Agile / Kanban)
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
  • BE/B.Tech in Computer Science or related stream from a reputed InstituteSpecialist Skills and Experience Required
  • The candidate should have 8 to 10 years of experience with DevOps profile, with at least 2+ years of experience in managing teams and external stakeholder communication
  • Excellent & effective Communication Skills; should be able to seamlessly interact with globally distributed development, infrastructure, networks and customer support teams.
  • High proficiency in working with large scale Linux based Enterprise environments.
  • Proven expertise on Linux, and DevOps tools such as Git, Docker, Puppet, Ansible, Kubernetes, terraform.
  • Proven expertise in at least one scripting language, for e.g. Python
  • Good debugging skills on java-based application - backend and frontend.
  • Sound Knowledge of RDBMS, preferably with Oracle or MySQL.
  • Working knowledge of VMWare Technology (or equivalent)
  • Good to have knowledge on Cloud technologies such as AWS/GCP/Azzure
  • Experience with Application Monitoring tools such as Graffana, splunk, XMON and AppDynamics and ELK
  • Ability to work well both, in a team environment and independently while tackling complex problems
  • Ability to learn and adapt new technologies and infuse them into the current eco-system.
  • Passionate to palm ownership and responsibility of the systems 24x7
