The candidate will need experience administering large client endpoint environments (60,000) whose responsibilities include but are not limited to: maintaining security and patch levels, policy management, software packaging, utility and install scripting, and user escalations. As a Client Security Engineer the individual will be expected to provide resolution to technical issues, handle operational escalations, engineer solutions to help scale the organization, improve operational efficiencies, and compliance of the environment.Responsibilities

  • Maintaining patch compliance of Mac clients in the environment.
  • Remediate all critical vulnerabilities in the environment as per severity guidelines directed by the business.
  • Meeting SLA compliance for the environment.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams in creating solutions for new vulnerabilities.
  • Work with security teams in correcting vulnerability detections and providing required information.
  • Work with the end user for failed remediations and create SOP s to handover it to the internal helpdesk team.
  • Automate and optimize processes to increase efficiencies.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Should be familiar with JAMF Pro(formerly JAMF Casper Suite) and certification is an added advantage.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in patch management tools like Jamf and titles creation.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in Mac administration. Proven experience around developing and testing against bare-metal client laptop and desktop devices of varying states.
  • Good understanding of MacOS, Architecture, Networking, Enterprise compliance standards.
  • Experience in deploying and configuring softwares like Internet Browsers (e.g.: Chrome, Safari, and Firefox), Productivity Software (e.g.: Microsoft Office, Adobe Reader, etc.), Creative Software (e.g.: Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Pixelmator, etc.), Development tools (e.g.: Xcode, Git, Java IDEs, Homebrew, etc.).
  • Good knowledge of and experience with MacOS System engineering tasks, troubleshooting.
  • Programming skills (Python, Shell) MacOS command line tools to support and automate Mac administration
  • Working knowledge of change management and release management practices.
  • Working knowledge of Networking and system security is essential.
  • Experienced in dealing with internal users and can influence and contribute to the design of new products and services
  • Understanding of Agile / Scrum methodology for deliverables of their tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Should be a team player.
