Inspecting field sites to observe, evaluate condition, operability of facilities and + More Description : Design Manager (Civil) This position is responsible for preparation, development; validation and assessment of civil engineering designs and investigations required for Solar PV Power Plants and associated works. He should be reporting to Division Technical Head. Inspecting field sites to observe, evaluate condition, operability of facilities and structures, and to collect field survey data and measurements. Should have Sound knowledge of Construction Site Investigation, Feasibility technical Study, Detailed Design Development. Analysis of soil test report. Estimation of wind loads and risk assessment simulations. Design of foundations for Solar Module Mounting structures and the detailed analysis. To check the drawings provided by various design consultants and integrate in the project. Maintaining the relevant standards of design which meets as per local conditions. Putting together specification and requirements for issue of tenders for civil / structural works contracts. Knowledge of state-of-the-art technical skills in materials methods in all applicable engineering, architectural construction areas. Preparation of designs and associated drawings for assessment and Client approval. To prepare R.C.C drawings for Pile Foundation, Pre-fab structure foundation and Control Rooms as per site conditions and local electrical requirements. Estimate the drainage aspects of a site. Design of roads, cable trenches, transformer other Panel foundations and preparation of respective drawings. Framing the specifications of civil works involved in the solar PV plant and other associated works. Estimation and costing of Civil steel structural works. Preparation of site drawings and Issuing drawings For Construction (IFC). General Specification, Guaranteed Specification, General Arrangement Drawings, Structural Detail Drawings, Concrete/ Foundation, Steel Supporting Pipes, Building Drawings, Road Layouts, Paving Grading and drainage, Underground drawings, Material Requisition, BOMs, Bid Summaries etc to be prepared as required. Random Site visit, collection of site data, its analysis and reviving the quality aspects of works. Contribute to the long term planning and strategies related to the engineering projects and programs within the design team. Control on documentations and maintenance of proper data bank is recommended. Awareness in design of Solar Module Mounting Structures is an extra benefit.
