  • The Operational Risk Analyst is responsible for carrying out the program of control testing, which will include mapping key processes, testing controls, reporting the findings, and monitoring remedial action plans. The testing will take place on several key processes carried out throughout the Canada, U.S. and Int l regions, and will involve working with colleagues located globally
  • The position may also be engaged in other operational risk management activities such as leading of periodic risk workshops; assessment of policies & procedures, risk event reporting and tracking, consultation for projects/initiatives etc.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of the Operational Risk Analyst High Risk Process Reviews:
  • Contribute to the ongoing, design of framework
  • Production, and maintenance of documentation and training materials
  • Map key processes and controls, propose enhancements to continually improve efficiencies, the customer experience as well as the control environment.
  • Prepare documentation and presentations on the results, obtain buy-in and track to ensure follow through
Key Controls Testing:
  • Remote testing of key controls
  • Report, and deliver, testing results
  • Liaise with Leaders to ensure controls are in place and functioning as intended
  • Liaise with leaders to close out control gaps in accordance with remedial plans.
  • Liaise with various internal groups, such as Internal Auditors and Compliance teams during reviews.
Other Operational Risk Functions as assigned, including:
  • Operational Risk Workshops
  • Lead/Co-lead periodic risk workshops for internal clients when key control changes are being proposed.
  • Lead/Co-lead quarterly risk workshops with leaders to identify upcoming risks that may impact the achievement of department goals.
Risk Event and Key Risk Indicator (KRI) Reporting/Tracking:
  • Closely partner with internal clients to prepare documentation for risk events
  • Collect and record KRIs, analyze trends and include in periodic reporting
