Job Description

Job Description Procurement ManagerReport to: Head of Center of Excellence teamThe candidate would be part of the Global Center of Excellence Team which is engaged into end to end Procurement and Sourcing of goods and services globally for the organization. Work with the Global Category Manager to develop and execute category strategy for IT, Telecom & Indirect procurement. Manage procurement project independently coordinating with stake holders (Legal, Business and Finance). Achieve business savings and value. The Procurement Manager will identify and manage suppliers in multiple categories.This would be an Individual Contributor role based in Hyderabad, Telangana.Skills necessary to be successful in this role are as given below:

  • Good knowledge of Source to Contract process with preferable market research knowledge.
  • Procurement Category Management: 5 years experience in end to end execution of Global Sourcing and Procurement for high spend projects & category management. Know the key steps within category management. Align, support and work with Global Category Managers to implement agreed Global Category Plans, across multi-entity organizations globally & demonstrate ability to step in for GCM when required.
  • Specialist area: IT Hardware, Software, Services, Telco, Contingent Labor, Marketing, Training etc.
  • Opportunity Identification/Spend Analysis- Experience in various layers of spend data to identify projects for cost savings, preparing proposals of projects identified, presenting to stakeholders, getting final sign off.
  • Contract Management: Understand the fundamental structure of contract documents and the type of documents required. Good knowledge on types of contracts and contract structures e.g. NDA, MSA, Framework Agreements, schedules and SOW s with Contract drafting experience. Red Lining of contract identify risks and high level negotiations of contract terms and pricing.
  • Stake Holder Engagements: Advanced stakeholder management skills to manage your internal stakeholders and be pro-active in your approach. Must be able to communicate at all levels across the organization. Strong influencing and convincing skills in order to build successful, convincing business cases to gain sponsorship to launch cost reduction projects. Collaborative approach but possesses the ability to put point of view or procurement position across in a non-confrontational way. Able to push back when necessary. Active participation in the Business Review Calls presenting the spend reporting, saving opportunities.
  • Vendor Management: Create vendor profiles that provide relevant market, interaction, and performance data specific to each strategic vendor. Update monthly.
  • Build dashboards that provide near-real-time updates. They often include tactical data most relevant to understanding a strategic vendor s performance.
  • Use quarterly scorecards to provide a regular update and objective analysis of the most relevant and strategic measures of a vendor relationship. These can include a 360-degree review, for which the vendor provides a customer assessment and recommended improvement actions.
  • Prepare vendor risk plans annually, or as often as required by policy or regulation. Plans should provide an overview of vendor risks and the relevant actions taken, or necessary, to reduce residual risks and respond to risk events.
  • Monthly operational performance and contract reviews to report on performance against SLAs and metrics.
  • Quarterly relationship reviews to focus on evaluating the long-term strategic value of the relationship, as opposed to the tactical aspects of the monthly reviews.
  • Biannual risk reviews to update and refine business continuity and mitigation plans, and report on risks pertaining to the relationship.
  • Act as the primary contact point center for vendor issues and requests from within the business delivery organizations
  • Support Sales teams by developing new opportunities in the regions by offering new Services.
  • Execute on supplier assessment, selection, commercial negotiation and contracting.
  • Point of escalation for Operations in resolving structural issues with these third-party suppliers.
  • Ariba or on-line procurement tools (preferred not essential)
Soft Skills
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written.
  • Able to work on multiple assignments
  • Able to work at times in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining accuracy.
  • Hands-on/practical approach, self-starter, team player.
  • Out of the box solutions-thinking attitude.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS-Excel, MS-Power Point & MS-Word (Advanced skills desirable).
  • Good knowledge of Outlook, SharePoint.
Education / Qualifications
  • Education: Preferred Business Graduates, Technology Graduates, MBA or Equivalent University Degree
  • Certifications from a globally recognized would be an added advantage (Six Sigma/ PMP)
