Position Details Sr. DevOps Engineer (SME)

Job Description

Description:Sr. DevOps Engineer (SME) should have good knowledge and experience of designing, developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for various applications and Infrastructure code deployment to different environments like AWS/ Azure/ GCP/ Private Cloud. The role requires the good hands-on experience of at least 6 years on Azure DevOps or AWS Code Build/ Commit/ Pipeline Services or tools like Visual Studio, Jenkins, maven, Ant, Git, Junit, Gatling, Cucumber, etc. along with SDLC in order to automate the testing and deployment and code progression across Public & Private cloud environments. The Sr. DevOps engineer shall be working in close coordination with the development and operations teams, such that the application deployment and release are orchestrated, managed and monitored to deliver the desired performance. The design and approach shall enable business-critical applications to automatically scaled and tuned in delivering consistent performance against the defined parameters and customers expectation. He will also be responsible for ensuring the availability and reliability of the services along with proactive monitoring and troubleshooting of the incidents. Should have 8-10 years of experience as Sr. DevOps Engineer (SME).xperience & Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills along with cross-group collaboration and leadership qualities to lead Jr. Engineers & Analysts Sound Knowledge and proven experience in scripting languages like Pearl, Ruby, Jason, Powershell, etc. Proven Experience of designing, developing and maintaining CI/CD process for Infrastructure and applications; automated delivery through DevOps tools; like Maven, Jenkins, Bamboo, GoCD, etc. Hands-on experience working with any of the two configuration management tools like Puppet/ Chef/ SaltStack/ Ansible, etc. Proven experience in designing, building, orchestrating and managing VM s, Containers utilizing tools like vRealize, Nutanix CALM, Kubernetes, Docker, etc. across the public, private and hybrid cloud. Sound knowledge and experience in operating systems troubleshooting; like Windows and Linux with command on any of the CLI/ scripting language such as Shell, Python, Bash, etc. Sound knowledge and experience of Git Lab/ Git Hub/ Artifactory/ Nessus, etc. on code branching and version control of source code and binaries and setting up policies RBAC. Experience of agile project management/ Kanban tools; like JIRA, TFS Good knowledge and working experience on continuous delivery and release management tools; like CD- XL Deploy, Urban Code Deploy, Octopus Deploy, AzureDevOps, AWS Code Deploy Proven experience on administrative aspects of AWS Code Pipeline/ Azure DevOps, GitLab/ GitHub, Artifactory, Ansible, etc. o Process Templates and Dashboards o Repositories and policies management o Build definition, release definitions, YAML based pipeline definition. o Agents and Deployment Groups administration o Artefact Management. Experience of packaging and deployment of .NET and .NET-core based applications and deep understanding of IIS, Kestrel and .NET Good Knowledge and understanding of Java, Scala and Node.JS based application deployment Advanced knowledge of best practices related to data encryption and cybersecurity Knowledge and experience of Load balancing and auto scaling. Understanding of Open Source DevOps tools and best practices for quality gates. Knowledge and/or experience of Terraform, Cloud Formation or ARM Templates Experience with serverless deployments (AWS Lambda / Azure functions) Experience in Amazon ECS & EKS Sound knowledge of applications and Infrastructure monitoring key metrics Basic understanding of networking and network protocols Good knowledge of SQL query is desired Sound knowledge and experience of VMware or Hyper-V or KVM virtualization Certifications: Must be certified on any three given streams a. MCP/MCSE/ RHCE , ITIL (Mandatory) b. Docker Certified Associate (DCA) c. Certified Kubernetes Administrator(CKA) d. Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) e. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer f. Microsoft Certified-Azure DevOps Engineer g.
