We are doing this through a set of investments across the entire development lifecycle, with the key focus being on the adoption of modern engineering practices and tooling. You can read more about it in our blog .As a Principal Program Manager within Engineering Fundamentals (EF), you will have the opportunity to be at the center of key disruptive transformations and influence our industry s Digital Transformation. We are focused on solving the hardest, most interesting challenges of developing software at scale without sacrificing stability, quality, velocity, or code health. Responsibilities:

• Planning and deliver product innovations by employing and cultivating a product engineering mindset across the team.
• Drive an inclusive planning process for each product or initiative, balancing partner input and driving alignment across Microsoft
• Translate ambiguous problems and strategic visions into customer scenarios, effectively communicating from customer to technical delivery.
• Proactively mitigate critical risks to the product delivery and future roadmap.
• Market both in-flight and envisioned product capabilities to executive level leaders, influencing for impact and representing the contributions of the team.
• Employ data analytics to continually measure and improve product performance, building a culture of data-driven decision making.
• Developing and sustaining strong working relationships with business, application program managers, software engineers, services engineers, vendors, and Engineering peers.
• Track trends in the market, industry landscape, technology trends and competition.

• Strong, demonstrated technical problem solving and communication skills; an ability to define common requirements across a wide range of diverse customers; and a passion for simplicity in design that drives scalability.
• Demonstrated understanding and experience with system architecture and optimization with a track record of successful solution delivery (e.g. implementing a solution that drives results). Strong x-cross team skills are required.
• Demonstrated customer focus and end-to-end thinking across teams and experiences.
• Critical thinking skills, with the ability to break down ambiguous problems.

Experience Required:

• 10+ years of Program Management experience is required.
• 10+ years in program management experience spanning network, server, infrastructure tooling, and compliance preferred.
• A Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or Advanced Sciences is necessary.
• Master s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience as a key contributor to designing, shipping, and operating large-scale, public cloud services.
• Experience in technical concepts in cloud computing environments such as logical access control, agile development process, secure coding principles, security architecture, information security, network security, and privacy
• Experience in engineering systems (DevOps tools / processes).
