Job Description

Work with leaders to plan design deliverables, scope and manage workflows.Manage and mentor junior designers and designers reporting to you.Interact directly with clients and serve as the voice of the user while balancing customer needs and technical requirements

  • Independently lead the design of large and complex systems of interactions that define modern product & service experiences
  • Collaborate with technical, product, design and business teams to deliver cross-functional solutions in an agile environment
  • Communicate frequently, clearly and transparently to all stakeholders, including but not limited to solution owner, project manager, client partner, Digital Studio Director, and client counterparts, while solving issues where feasible and escalating blockers & risks
  • Act with empathy & curiosity to ensure were always questioning the status quo and driving to understand the needs of the user
  • Work with Trianz Digital Studio team members to continuously improve UX processes & practices
  • Contribute to the development of Trianz thought leadership (e.g., writing white papers & blogs, speaking at conferences, and documenting everything)
  • Attend, plan and conduct remote/contextual research to illustrate points of view from user personas, processes, journey maps and product ideas to all relevant stakeholders.
Facilitate workshops, design sprints and remote collaboration exercisesKey Skills & ExperienceRequired:
  • Youve earned a degree in human-computer interaction, digital media, interaction design, visual communication, or gained comparable experience
  • You have built experiences for US based products, applications and experiences
  • You have 10+ years of professional experience designing digital products in a design team at a design agency, in a consulting company or part of an in-house (industry) UX team.
  • You have 2+ years of experience managing designers and have had minimum 3 designers reporting directly to you.
  • You demonstrate a solid understanding of user-centered design principles and knowing how user research driven requirements work.
  • Your portfolio demonstrates increasingly more challenging work; it exhibits distinction and storytelling
  • You are able to work on up to 2-3 projects concurrently
  • You have a track record of delivering high quality projects on-time
  • You demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of digital product design principles, including mobile standards, design systems, responsive web, and agile development methodologies
  • Experience with using accessibility standards and needs.
  • Demonstrated experience & success in cross-functional collaboration, particularly in a global delivery environment
  • Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision, Principle, and standard design tools in the UX industry. (Were an Adobe XD shop)
  • Knowledge of design studio working model and design processes
  • Your communication and collaboration skills are excellent
Additional preferences:
  • Masters degree in design, computer science, or HCI fields
  • Experience supporting sales & opportunity pursuits, such as creating & delivering sales enablement materials, creating & pitching proposals, helping to identify opportunities, scoping work effort & duration, & writing SOWs
  • An interest in and knowledge of the broader design industry, its business & operating models, and trends
  • If you consider yourself a T-shaped or a full-stack designer, then a strong combination skillset in research and interaction design will be a huge plus.
