Key Areas of Responsibility
As part of the Services Product Management team, the Connected Systems Management (CSM) Product Manager will oversee commercial, technical, and operational planning & execution of the CSM product and services.
The CSM product is a cornerstone of NCRs Digital Connected Services (DCS) strategy and delivers a wall-to-wall, IoT-enabled secure service promise to customers in retail, hospitality, and banking industries resulting in total cost of ownership (TCO) reduction, higher availability, and a differentiated consumer experience. CSM is focused on IoT enabled managed service delivery for both NCR and multi-vendor endpoints in our client environment.
As a managed services product manager for CSM, you will be accountable for: Define and govern CSM product roadmap driving decisions pertaining to investment prioritization, market demand, sales enablement, technical implementation, and operational readiness.
Within a structured product lifecycle management methodology, work with services product managers, IT, engineering, and practice managers to define and execute product release milestones per schedule and budget objectives.
Agile SW product management including epics/user story development, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews.
Roadmap planning and execution to migrate from legacy platform and tools to the new CSM platform as part of DCS based services evolution.
Interlock with relevant NCR SW organizations regarding the offer alignment with SW product (e.g., NCR Emerald, SCO, POS, StopLift, Optics, Aloha, VitalCast, and Software Defined Store) and develop joint go-to-market strategy in the context of comprehensive NCR solutions consisting of hardware, software and services.
Champion for major customer pursuits, working closely with engineering and IT services teams.
Specify market requirements through market research, regulatory engagement and dialog with customers and channel partners.
Manage the CSM product through the development lifecycle working within agile frameworks to optimize time-to-market.
Partner with service design, technology and operational teams to perform periodic technology assessments to validate the technology direction of the product and recommend investment prioritization.
Basic Qualifications
Experience in IoT and device management based solutions preferred. Knowledge of IoT platform architecture, edge device/gateway architecture, remote management protocols, and enterprise IT integration principles preferred.
Technical background with hands-on experience in IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Outsourcing and/ or Business Process Outsourcing.
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field is required.
7 years of combined experience including roles in product management, engineering, technology strategy, solution architecture, or practice management.
Experience in agile SW product management and working knowledge of JIRA preferred.
Knowledge of typical IT environment for retail and hospitality industry client is preferred.
