Job Description

    ROLE TITLE: Manager Technology (compounding ) REPORTS TO: Senior ManagerLOCATION: TechnologyDATE: 19-10-2018 JOB PURPOSE: To provide technical support for the manufacturing process in the designated area. DIMENSIONS: Position holderInternal customersExternal customersExternal partners KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    1. PROCESS & PRODUCT:
    • Industrialize of new compounds as per time line- Annual NPD plan
    • Responsible and lead for all the technological activities at the mixing/compounding area
    • Trouble shooting of compound and raw materials across tyre manufacturing process
    • Organize and execute Raw materials trials
    • Analyze product failure due to compound variations and take necessary improvement measures
    • Review of key product and process parameters and initiate actions
    • Lead Productivity and quality improvement projects in mixing area
    • Optimization of compound cost as per cost optimization plan.
    • Lead activities that involve issuing reports, issuing and dispositioning product holds, process and material specifications related to maintaining and improving the product quality within the manufacturing process
    • SOP,PFMEA, Control plan making along with CFT
    • Optimize the use of existing material / alternate material for cost/rationalization/process benefit
    • System implementation, monitoring and control.
    • PDCA approach to continual improvement for Productivity, Quality, waste reduction etc .
    1. TECHNICAL ECONOMY :
    • Product specification optimization in the designated area.
    1. CLAIMS & LOSSES:
    • Monitor products in order to bring in continuous improvement, and keep claims and losses to a minimum.
    1. TECHNICAL & QUALITY TASKS:
    • Provide technical know-how and inputs to the designated sections.
    • Analyze mixing variations and take necessary countermeasures.
    • Good knowledge and experience on Full silica compound mixing.
    • Analytically sound to analyse the data & should retrieve any statistical data available in the system.
    • Knowledge and experience of mixing recipe creation based on recipe released by R&D
    • Good knowledge in Lab testing and compound Rheo and physical property analysis
    • Good knowledge on Raw material used for Rubber mixing and Indirect materials.

    • Proficiency in Tyre Manufacturing Technology (Capable)
