Job Description

    Full Stack Engineer Job OverviewThis role requires a multi-tasking, passionate self-starting PHP/LAMP developer who is able to take responsibility. Working in a fast-paced environment and reporting directly to the CTO the role is part of the Engineering team who are building a cutting-edge planning, reporting, analytics and business process tool on the Laravel framework. The role encompasses development, maintenance, version control, documentation and support of Appsumer s proprietary platform.Responsibilities
    • Work directly with the CTO to ensure standards and best practices are implemented throughout the development lifecycle
    • Work with the Product team to understand product requirements, provide feedback and ultimately deliver assets during each sprint cycle
    • Technically leading other members of the Squad, establishing best practices & mentoring
    • Working collaboratively with the wider team finding the best solutions
    • Taking an active role in all phases of the development lifecycle - what you think matters!
    • Develop best in class product using latest frameworks and libraries
    • Building reusable code and libraries for future use
    • Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability
    • Build a scalable infrastructure to meet the growing demands on the Platform
    • Design and implementation of data storage solutions
    • Perform QA and code review
    • Share knowledge, mentor and educate
    Required Skills
    • Analytical thinking the candidate must be able to understand requirements and be provide well thought out solutions
    • Object Oriented Programming ideal candidates should be able to apply OOO concepts
    • Knowledge of SOLID principles & design patterns to all their work
    • PHP7/8 strong knowledge of latest features and how to achieve optimal performance
    • MVC patterns deep knowledge of Laravel/Lumen (alternatively Symfony)
    • RESTful APIs experience
    • MySQL experience in database design and optimisation
    • Good HTML5 CSS & reasonable Javascript + jQuery knowledge the ideal candidate should have good front-end development
    • Have worked with modern CSS components or modules: bootstrap, tailwind, material UI, etc
    • Understanding of Sass and pre-processors
    • Fair knowledge of any modern front-end framework. In order of preference: React.js, Angular or Vue.js
    • Git flow usage
    • Feel comfortable in Linux and shell commands
    • Team Player!
    Beneficial Skills
    • Proven ability of scaling an application
    • Automated testing and unit tests
    • Strong experience within the AWS ecosystem and cloud management
    • Other cloud or infrastructure knowledge is also valued
    • Experience of Redshift would be beneficial
    • Knowledge about any other NoSQL DBs are a plus
    • Data migration, transformation, backups and administration
    • Python and/or Go knowledge is a plus
    • Having a strong understanding of RESTful APIs creation, standards, isolation is also beneficial
    • OAuth2 Authentication
    • Node.JS knowledge
    • Extra front-end knowledge will be valued
    • Having a strong understanding of front-end frameworks (especially React.JS) or libraries like Redux will be highly valued
    • Any other front-end tools or knowledge: deep understanding of JS, Typescript, Angular/Vue, modules, npm, linters/formatters, unit testing, error handling, sockets, etc
