Senior Solutions ArchitectPosting Location : Location Remote United StatesPosting date 2 hours ago(6/17/2021 10:59 AM)Job ID 87497 Category Solution Architecture Job summary The Red Hat Business Unit is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join us. In this role, you will help create software solutions and advocate compelling recommendations to Red Hats North America Telco customers and guide them to adopt Red Hats innovative open source technology. You ll promote Red Hats open source software technology in public, private, and hybrid cloud environments. Primary job responsibilities

  • Educate customers on the software capabilities of the Red Hat software solutions portfolio, conduct live demonstrations of the software solutions, and build relationships with customer technical associates and leadership
  • Partner with account executives to provide all aspects of technical presales activity to support accounts, including delivering technical presentations, demos, proof of concepts (POCs), and help create software solutions
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations and content to support the sales cycle and achieve technical closure
  • Respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and develop unsolicited proposals to architect Red Hat solutions that solve customer technical and business problems, including project management of the RFP process involving multiple product experts
Required skills
  • Masters degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in computer science, computer engineering, computer applications, or related field and 3+ years of experience in the job offered or related role OR Bachelors degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in computer science, computer engineering, computer applications, or related field and 5+ years of experience in the job offered or related role
  • 3+ years of experience with: DevOps, microservices, cloud platforms, software-defined storage, container platform and orchestration, and virtualization; Multiple-System Operator (MSOs); and large cloud and data migrations by selecting the right target platform for the migration
  • 2+ years of experience with: OpenShift, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Ansible, Middleware; cloud platform, cloud operations, security operations, encryption, and identity management; and continuous integration / continuous delivery pipelines, microservices, and public cloud platforms like AWS
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time; travel expenses covered by Red Hat, Inc.
