Job Description

The Senior Software Engineer III of Data and Analytics is a data and technology enthusiast who is able to quickly grasp new concepts, eager to learn from seniors and others and able to convert that learning to realizing new capabilities, platforms, products and services. Will be part of the team that design, develop and support the next generation of data pipeline processing that serve up data and analytics services to the end customers.The successful candidate is an individual who is an excellent problem solver, a quick learner, productive working both independently and collaboratively, result oriented and quality minded, a strong individual contributor with leadership capacity. The role is based out of India at the Neustars offices in Hyderabad.Responsibilities:Enabling the team, designing and developing the data pipeline platform.Prototype, program and help ship the next generation of data SaaS products that lets users access data, services and data models seamlessly.Build a scalable software architecture as well as the various services including data access, data cataloging, search and discovery, data transformation etc.Run along the cutting edge with an all- star lineup of experts in computer science, software engineering, marketing science, operation research and marketing strategy.Analyze and resolve complex problems including data analytics, interoperability issues, issues caused by hardware or software. Experience and Qualifications:Bachelors degree in computer science or engineering discipline (Masters degree preferred)7 - 10 years of experience in system software development at least 5+ years of hands- on experience in Core Java development for enterprise software. Experience in a scripting language Python is highly desired. Prior technical leadership experience is strongly desired.Hands- on experience in SQL databases.Experience and knowledge in the following areas desired: Spark, RabbitMQ, Redis, Graylog, REST, various AWS services including AWS API, EMR, EC2 and Aurora.Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills.Skills in data manipulation and analysis.Passion to seek out new technologies, innovative ways to approaching a problem and providing technical direction to junior engineersFast executor with a track record of delivering complex projects on time; responds under pressures of time and uncertaintyStrong written, editing, proofreading and oral communicationStrong inter- personal communication and collaboration skillsAble to lead efforts and other people to solve production issues and complete tasks on timePlan and track team tasks.
