  • The Test Automation Engineer is responsible for contributing to the development of test automation for cutting edge products used in the medical field.
  • Contribute to project specific test strategies and approaches.
  • Contribute to completion of project milestones.
  • Designing, developing, testing, maintaining, and documenting/validating software testing components and applications.
  • Participate in all phases of product development as needed such as reviewing requirements, design, usability, risk assessment, and testing execution.
  • Interfacing with mechanical, electrical, systems, and software engineers.
  • Implement process improvements. Enhance systems or processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness.
  • Participate in defect tracking and analysis.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and support existing products.
  • Effectively communicate findings, problems and solutions to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate and maintain excellent working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
  • Follow Medtronic ENT product development standards and practices.
  • All activities must be performed in compliance with the Quality System.
  • Performs duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety related site rules, policies, and governmental regulations.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Travel requirement: 10-20%
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Experience with test automation including GUI, integration, reliability and designing and implementing test automation frameworks.
  • Software development or testing experience in the medical industry or other regulated industry.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks/projects and manage priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of modern, iterative software design processes and development practices including agile and test-driven development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with business and technical audiences.
  • Scripting language (Python, Perl, Shell) experience
  • Experience in GUI application testing tools like Ranorex, Squish etc.
  • Exposure in one or more of the following: Qt, Boost, RabbitMQ, Selenium
  • Exposure on CI/CD tools and process
  • Exposure to working with LabView Models and Test stand
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Understanding of FDA Quality System Regulations (QSR).
