Job Description

*POSITION SUMMARY:The position is responsible for Designing, developing and unit testing applications according to best practices and guidance within the company in order to support development efforts surrounding strategic alliances, sponsor data integrations, custom application development and internal system integrations.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, Design and Development of software solutions that are scalable and meet the High Availability demands.
  • Build, Coach Team members and strive to continually improve efficiency of how things are done.
  • Work with operations and support teams across the organization to ensure high quality production systems.
  • Makes recommendations for improving software processes and completes process improvements activities
  • Develops user documentation and knowledgebase articles to support production support
  • Responsible for performing activities that are in compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, Standard Operating Procedures and Operating Guidelines and performing other duties as assigned by management

  • BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
Experience / Knowledge:
  • Required: 5+ years of experience in the data engineering technologies.
  • Required: Professional experience in building and operationalizing data solutions
  • Required: Strong experience with one or more of the following database query languages: SQL/MySQL, relational databases, NoSQL databases,
  • Required: Proven experience of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Apache NiFi flows
  • Required: Experience creating custom NIFI processors and optimize workflows based on NIFI.
  • Required: Proficiency in Java and at least one other programming language such as Python or Javascript.
  • Required: Knowledge of REST API architecture
  • Preferred: Understanding of Cloud Computing preferably Microsoft Azure
  • Preferred: Familiarity agile development practices like SCRUM
  • Preferred: Functional experience in healthcare domain
Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem analysis and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
