Job Description

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Research and resolve exceptions and issues
  • Reconcile and resolve discrepancies with other Shared Services teams , external clients and Client Operations
  • Act as primary contact and key escalation point for operational , and unresolved issues , as well as technical expert to resolve daily problems , and escalate to management , as required.
  • Ensure all inquiries are resolved in a timely and accurate manner and communicate effectively with the client when necessary
  • Ensure appropriate records of daily and monthly activities are complete and maintained
  • Coordinate effective and timely flow of critical information to all relevant parties and follow up on administrative details within the department
  • Oversee and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and/or client specific desk procedures
  • Provide timely accurate management reporting and issue log maintenance , under moderate supervision
  • Maintain knowledge of current alternative procedures and processes
  • Assists with workflow management and technology enhancements. Makes suggestions to streamline operations
  • Document any updates or changes to formal procedures , databases , etc.
  • Participate in projects as well as prepare and verify information for those various projects/special requests as directed
  • Deliver training and coaching to all staff , provide performance feedback to manager for PPR
  • Ensure team is achieving accuracy and meeting pre- determined deadlines
  • Estimate personnel needs , assign work , oversee short term deliverables , coordinate workflow , maintain working knowledge of overall process operating model while assisting with deployment of operational changes
  • Resolve issues and prioritize actions in absence of direct manager
  • Mitigate potential financial and regulatory risk by overseeing , resolving issues
  • Participate in projects , as required
  • Identify and report all risk and compliance issues , breaches and suspicious activities
  • Act in accordance with Risk Excellence as part of our Way Ahead Foundation
  • Employee will be responsible for duties of Associate II , if required
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Finance , Business or related field preferred.
  • 2 - 3 years related custody and/or fund accounting experience.
  • Strong computer competence
  • Aptitude for math
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
  • Multitasking capability
  • Ability to work under pressure , and in a deadlines driven environment.
