Job Description

With such a shift, there is a strong emphasis on carefully analyzing, and in many cases, hitting Refresh on the components that comprise the enterprise identity and access management platforms as we know them.Identity Site Reliability Engineering is a hybrid, production-oriented discipline combining deep software engineering and systems skills. As experts in reliability engineering, SREs are typically responsible for improving service availability, latency, scalability, performance, and efficiency; they remove toil from service management, and take ownership for changing production state, monitoring, incident response, and capacity planning. SREs take a holistic approach across client and server: they understand the dependencies both between and within services and drive continuous improvement across them. They care about the user experience and improve business outcomes as the business unit itself defines them. SRE as a discipline improves things via engineering first and foremost, rather than being a primarily reactive function.#DSR

  • Lead Identity and access management (IAM) SRE team, foster innovation, and drive accountability.
  • Be a thought leader in security engineering and operations delivery - driving automation, analytics, and advanced threat analysis.
  • Oversee technical delivery, assessing and continually improving output and ensuring processes are developed and adhered to drive operational excellence.
  • Provide technical engineering for a cross-functional, highly visible, operations team supporting the Identity platform for Microsoft s corporate network.
  • Manage and lead the identity and access management function, ensuring prompt, efficient, and accurate resolution of identity and access matters.
  • Identify opportunities and drive the implementation of automation to improve service health, manageability and reliability
  • Own, triage, investigate and resolve service issues with an emphasis on broad communications, learning & teaching throughout the process.
  • Author functional and technical documentation. Communicate on a deeply technical level with product engineering, project management and operations teams to improve and optimize products, improve infrastructure, and evolve services.
  • Understand SRE principles. Take back our time by driving SRE principles.
  • Remain current on new technologies, methods and procedures including, but not limited to, coding practices such as Test-Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment.
  • Provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities.
  • Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth for the future.
  • Participate in Monthly/Quarterly business reviews.
  • Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all managed systems, operating systems, hardware, and software.
  • Collaborate and consult with other groups on the overall advancement of the Emerging Services organization in general.
  • Establish operational foundations, defining metrics and KPIs to drive governance, quality, and efficiency. Influence and improve existing processes through innovation and operational change.
  • Manage staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
  • Represent IAM services and strategies to key influencers and stakeholders across IT and business teams to ensure maximum effectiveness of the IAM program.
  • Plan and manage IAM budgets and forecasts, as well as reporting dashboards that align with service delivery guidelines.
  • Perform other information security job-related duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate advanced understanding of business processes, internal control risk management, IT controls and related standards.
  • Identify and evaluate complex business and technology risks, internal controls which mitigate risks, and related opportunities for internal control improvement.
  • Lead the architecture and design of identity solutions for the Cloud enterprise applications.
  • Partner with global team on a strategic multi-year roadmap for IAM, including governance and oversight.
  • Explore opportunities to optimize and ensure we are in line with business requirements.
  • Acquire and manage the necessary resources to support all IAM functions, including leadership support, financial resources, and key security personnel, to support Information Security goals, and reduce overall organizational risk.
  • Advise senior management on IAM-related risks and security posture.
  • Align IAM security priorities with the organization s security strategy informed by current understanding of what IAM leaders.
  • Proactively works with technology and product managers to identify potential issues and ensures effective remediation.
  • Manage and monitor systems associated with Identity and Access management solutions; provides incident and problem management support.
  • Assesses the current environment and makes continuous improvement to align with future state architecture.
  • Develop and maintain an educational environment where the knowledge and performance of the group is constantly advancing.
  • Perform annual staff appraisals.
  • Develop and mentor staff through open communication, training and development opportunities, and performance management processes; build and maintain employee morale and motivation.

    • Bachelor s Degree in Information Technology, Information Security/Assurance, Engineering, or similar area of study; at least 7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
    • Previous people management and project leadership experience required.
    • Proven ability Simplify the identity perimeter.
    • Support and drive Cloud-first IAM and Zero trust initiatives
    • Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues required.
    • Proven ability to make decisions and perform complex problem-solving activities under pressure.
    • Involvement in projects as needed as determined by the scope and related to the job function.
    • Creation and maintenance of policies, procedures, and internal control documentation required for user provisioning and deprovisioning.
    • Experience in managing Cloud identities and implementing secure SSO strategies
    • Experience in consulting and implementation of IAM solutions across various service areas/groups.
    • Experience in at least two or more of the following IAM Functional Skills
      • Access Management
      • Identity Governance
      • Directory Services
      • Identity Provisioning
      • Identity Management
      • Identity Management as a Service
    • Exposure to IAM practitioners and experts
    • Bachelor or higher degree in a technical field
    • Prior experience in deployment and implementation of custom applications
    • Experience with any of the following security areas:
      • Information risk, privacy, and strategy (i.e. security and privacy policies, or risk assessments, or security and privacy compliance);
      • Application security; (i.e. application security testing or security integrations with Systems Development Lifecycle (SDL) )
      • Infrastructure security; (i.e.- securing networks and servers or security monitoring)
      • Data security or encryption
    • Prior experience with any of the following:
      • Identity and access lifecycle (e.g. provisioning, access certification)
      • RBAC authorization models
      • SSO technologies
      • Federated access
      • Privileged Access Management
      • Directory Services, Virtual Directory
      • Authentication Methods
      • Entitlement and role management
      • Industry standards such as OAUTH, OpenID Connect
    • Recommended Industry-adopted security certifications such as
      • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
      • CIAM Certified Identity Access Manager
      • CISM - Certified Information Security Manager
      • CAMS Certified Access Management Specialist
      • CISSP - Certified Information Systems Security Professional
