Job summaryThe Amazon Vision Operations Center (AVOC) team is an initiative, which remotely handles exceptions in the Amazon Robotic Fulfillment Centers Globally. AVOC seeks to complement automated vision based decision-making technologies by providing remote human support for the subset of tasks which require higher cognitive ability and cannot be processed through automated decision making with high confidence. This team provides end-to-end solutions through inbuilt competencies of Operations and strong central specialized teams to deliver programs at Amazon scale. It is large team located across three geographies and four sites supporting 24 customers supporting 60+ use cases operating multiple programs including TRON, VBI, Proxemics, Scout and other new initiatives.The AVOC team is looking for a Sr. Manager, Program Management.You will be working in a fast-paced environment where every day brings unique new challenges and opportunities. You will be leading a centralized support team driving process improvement initiatives, Quality and training support to existing and new programs that AVOC supports. You will be responsible for improving efficiency and scaling existing capabilities by setting up new mechanisms within these processes and critically analyze existing ones to implement changes, in support of internal and external stakeholders. You should have excellent business and communication skills and be able to work with senior management globally, site peers and NA/EU wide business stakeholders. This position will involve regular communication and engagement with Fulfillment centers senior management, Technology team Managers, TPMs and Senior leadership. Cross-team coordination, project management and executive level presentation skills will be key to success.Key job responsibilitiesResponsibilities include: Lead and drive business requirements for the responsible functions to build state-of-art capabilities to supportacross programs Define the strategy/any changes in strategy required for launch of new programs, hiring etc. Partner with other Amazon groups to identify improvement opportunities in the programs being run by AVOC Driving standardization of practices, businesses processes, and reporting with finance, AR, Development , andFC ACES stakeholders Scale program initiatives without sacrificing business relevancy or quality Manage and develop a growing team of program managers and specialists Be the voice of the customer, ensuring that their needs are at the forefront of our efforts and help our teamiterate and improve on its offerings Facilitate planning and implementation, including needs assessments, strategic planning, and adaptation tolocal needs Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple disparate groupswith differing priorities Own all reporting for the program, participating in regular business reviews with executives and stakeholders Capture insights and best practices to enhance the program, with an emphasis on efficiency and scale Stay connected to industry trends, research and recommend best practices, KPIs, including knowledge sharing Manage and prioritize multiple moving pieces, be flexible to changing priorities and realities Lead hiring and developing the best in the team, Bachelors degree in Statistics, Maths, Economics, Engineering or a related field 12+ yrs. program management experience 7+ years of hiring, building, managing, and developing teams Has managed critical operational processes, with end to end business responsibility Experience working with teams globally Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills Experience working with senior managers and executives MBA from a top tier B school is highly desirable Experience in managing multi-cultural teams. Strong, self-driven leader with demonstrated ability to proactively drive, manage and grow an operationsteam. Strong project management skills. Strong business sense and ability to create, communicate and achieve a vision. Experience driving improvement, innovating new processes Experience with-in E-Commerce or IT industry.
