Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Product Managers who are excited by the idea of creating platform that multiple applications can leverage and derive efficiencies. You will be a great fit for this if you enjoy looking at applications and execution environments in a holistic way and create platform abstractions. You are an avid evangelist and help application teams embrace the common platform framework, processes and methodologies.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build an effective roadmap to prioritize important features while considering the business impact, ROI and strategic priorities.
  • Take high-level feature proposals and customer problems and break them into small iterations that engineering can work on
  • Partner closely with other Engineering Managers, product leads and cross functional teams to understand and drive the features needed for enhancing the platform and making it widely usable.
  • The Product manager is responsible to and closely collaborates with work with Agile Product Owner in managing the Product Backlog.
  • Break down Platform requirements to Epics, Features and User Stories for engineers to successfully deliver features and capabilities.
  • Drive Innovation by proposing ambitious features
  • Communicate and evangelize your Platform vision
  • Provide feedback and guidance to engineers and designers to ensure everyone is aligned
  • Be the voice of the customer for your group
  • Contribute to documentation, blog posts, demos, for platform product features
  • Drive teams to acquire necessary data in order to back assumptions, show value, and drive prioritization
  • Responsible for working with Product Owners to resolve ambiguities in requirements
  • Participate in Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives and contribute to Showcase Demos

Qualification:

  • 5+ years of experience as product manager and 10-12 years experience in the Software/IT industry.
  • While you do not need to be a developer, a strong technical background is required to be able to understand complex platform and database configurations. Exposure to Analytics is preferred. Track record working very closely with business stakeholders and engineers on a breadth of projects.
  • Experience building B2B / Enterprise Platforms from the ground up.
  • Experience with Platforms as a Service a plus.
  • You are self-motivated, with a knack for strategic, technical and creative

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience with common product management tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Previous experience with Agile software development methodology - experience as Scrum Product Owner desired
  • Prior experience working with development team on development and deployment of product releases
  • Experience with managing and prioritizing product backlog
  • Ability to multi-task and communication on multiple projects
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • You are self-motivated, with a knack for strategic, technical and creative
