We re looking for a System Development Engineers who thrive on complex problems and relish the challenge of operating a complex and mission critical system under extreme loads. Our systems responds to millions of requests per minute. We develop and manage security software for high availability systems. As a System Development Engineer, you will work on cloud security problems with the goal of securing customer and corporate communication across all of Amazon. The Ideal candidate is expected to contribute on Systems, Networking & Infrastructure related development and feature enhancements, bug fixes, system management, software deployments & migrations and host management He would also be responsible to develop tools and end to end automation to achieve human free operations.The position requires a combination of strong troubleshooting, technical and communication skills, includes a mix of on call, operational tasks and software development. They use the right tool for the job, and modify software in a way that leverages the overall system architecture. As a global security provider, our products are intersection of security, resiliency, and availability.About the teamUnified Authorization is responsible for securing customer and corporate communication across all of Amazon. We own cloud security products that are used by tens of thousands of services and millions of hosts across all Amazons businesses including retail website, Alexa, and Kindle. Every aspect of Amazons business interacts with our systems, and we ensure all actors are authenticated and authorized. As a global security provider, our products are intersection of security, resiliency, and availability., 2+ years Software/System Development experienceBachelors Degree and/or Masters degree in Computer ScienceComputer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm and complexity analysis.Proficiency in more than one high-level programming or Scripting language: C, C++, Ruby, Python, Perl, or JavaUnderstanding of Networking - DNS, DHCP, SSH, HTTP, TCP/IP and other common network protocolsExperience with System Analysis and Troubleshooting in large-scale Linux environmentExperience working and managing CI/CD pipeline, Deployments & DevOps.
    • Experience in Networking
    • Experience with AWS
    • Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) principle
