Job Description

Our engineering teams run and evolve some of the world s largest constellations of Kafka and Hadoop clusters, providing big data flows, storage, analytics and insights critical to the company s customers and leadership. Salesforce is proud of its mature and strong Technical Program Management discipline, practices and culture a large global team of TPM expertise. We re seeking an expert Technical Program Manager to join our teams, to help our Kafka and Hadoop engineering teams in Hyderabad, India innovate and deliver advances to accelerate growth for years to come.Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensuring the Kafka and Hadoop engineering teams in Hyderabad have all the info needed to plan and deliver releases and sprints, including requests from customers and broader programs;
  • Ensuring all stakeholders on both sides of the Pacific have all the info they need about the engineering teams work, status, progress, delivery dates, issues, escalations, metrics, etc;
  • Owning and driving team processes that benefit engineering delivery on commitments, with consensus of stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two years of technical program management experience delivering live global online services;
  • Experience working across the IST and US Pacific time zones;
  • Familiarity with big data challenges and solutions;
  • Bachelors degree with a STEM major;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, experience adapting the message to diverse audiences;
  • Excellent information organizational skills, ensuring stakeholders can find the info they need;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, cooperating with engineers;
Preferred:
  • Experience/Expertise in large scale global live service delivery;
  • Experience/Expertise in Kafka and/or Hadoop, or related technologies;
  • Experience/Expertise in AWS technologies;
  • Experience/Expertise in Kubernetes;
