Are you ready to lead in this new era of technology and solve some of the worlds most challenging problems If so, lets talk.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs Mainframe Technical Solutioner, Responsible for the overall Mainframe solution design and cost development, utilizing a combination of IBM standard and custom solutions to develop a Mainframe solution and proposal for our clients.   • Develop Technical Solution Cost Cases: development of the best, cost effective, technically sound and deliverable Mainframe solution which meet client business and technical requirements.
  • Determine what specific solutions, skills and capabilities IBM possesses to address client needs and their overall profitability to IBM
  • Understand the clients business needs and determine the requirements for IBM technologies that will achieve desired business and technical results.
  • Assess and match appropriate IBM technologies to fit customers environment and business requirements.
  • Prepare technical solution documentation
  • Support the preparation of proposals that clearly identify objectives, scope, benefits, costs, responsibilities, assumptions, deliverables, schedules and resource requirements needed to successfully respond to complex engagements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in Solution Design and influence the content of service products
  • Participates in client proposal/response creation and contract negotiations
  • Participates in strategy development to satisfy all parts of Client and IBM
  • Explain solution risks and reasoning for costs within the Mainframe solution
  • Maintain list of key assumptions and dependencies, lists of key risks and mitigation and manage to resolution
  • Participate and present the Mainframe technical solution in deal reviews and lessons learned.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in IT technology domain
  • Experience with performance tuning of systems, practicing capacity planning activity during system up-gradation and pro-actively managing capacity planning on regular basis.
  • Experience with Workload Load Manager (WLM), Parallel Sysplex configurations, multiple LPAR environments, and experience in capacity/performance reporting and modeling.
  • Good communication skills (written and spoken English)
  • Good understand of zCloud offerings and knowledge of Mainframe solutions
  • Understands the engagement solution process and is able to use this knowledge in advancing client engagements to closure.
  • Good client facing / presentation skills.
  • Validated knowledge in the following technologies: z/OS, Unix System Services, SMP/E, REXX, Java, VSAM, Third party products.

  • Proficient in working with high availability environment along with alignment to process (ITIL)

  • Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
