Job Description

Architectural accountability is federated according to the architectural risk and potential impact. Design Authorities play a major role in enabling this throughout the delivery lifecycle.DAs are accountable for ensuring their designs align to those decisions, conform to the reference architectures and standards, and satisfy non-functional requirements as outlined by the solution architectureThe DA acts as the gatekeeper of new standards and is overall accountable for the effectiveness of the standards being applied and their impact. This will require them to build or contribute to the right set of standards and to ensure they are meaningfully applied. The DA is responsible for ensuring that the non-functional requirements are understood by the Application Owner and the dates associated with their planned completion, are commensurate with the architecture risk and the expectations for aligning to approved standards.The Design Authority would need to be involved by the team if they see a change to the current flow or if a new business function is being added or when the team thinks that the DA is needed to answer any questions. Overall ownership of the designs adhering to standards as per their Technology Organization.

1. Hands-on Technical Architect. Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines. A minimum of 8-10 years of Hands- on experience on architecting and building distributed large scale systems. Start- up experience is a plus for this role.
2. As a Cloud Architect, DA will be expected to be an accomplished practitioner with Pivotal Cloud Foundry and Amazon Web Services. Provide a detailed understanding of cloud infrastructure services and well-architected principles. Cloud related certifications (e.g., AWS, Google, Azure, etc.)
3. In depth knowledge on Domain Driven Design, Micro services and Cloud design patterns.
4. Knowledge on Kafka ,No-SQL related DB s Cassandra , Mongo etc is mandatory.
5. Possess significant breadth across other disciplines (e.g., enterprise security architecture, compute services, storage, large-scale networking, virtualization, data center, integration architecture (API), orchestration technologies, systems resiliency, service support, application development lifecycle management (DevOps), and service delivery)
6. Advise on the refactoring and design of preexisting software to help increase its cloud relevancy
7. Proven experience in assessing, refactoring and identifying opportunity for existing applications to take advantage of modern application architectures (e.g. microservices, containers)
8. Proven experience with cloud software, platforms and/or infrastructures as an architect
9. Experience with the assessment, implementation, management and documentation of a broad set of information technologies and processes (e.g., resiliency, application scaling, application security, data protection, encryption, governance and discipline) within a cloud environment
10. Experience designing cloud ready solutions, including creating artifacts, models, and strategy presentations
11. Experience in application assessment to determine best fit and opportunity for leveraging cloud services and establishing and managing a cloud migration/adoption pipeline
12. Solid understanding of the end-to-end information technology (IT) process, including architecture, design & engineering, implementation, and operations
13. Ability to provide direction and guidance on architectural use cases and requirements for related efforts. Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
14. Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript
15. Strategically oriented and can influence at the group and Firm level as needed
16. Experience in risk and risk control compliance
