The Role Configure and develop a pricing solution that meets FIS s requirements using Spark as a tool Thoroughly understand Spark Build and features; its limitations and capabilities, to develop the best solution for FIS Collaborate with other teams both providing and receiving data from the pricing solution to gain a common understanding of data requirements. Help write analytics code, services and components in Java, Apache Spark, Kafka, Storm, Redis and related technologies such as Hadoop, Zookeeper Responsible for systems analysis - Design, Coding, Unit Testing and other SDLC activities. Provide technical solutions within the following Spark technologies as part of the FIS delivery strategy: Functional Programming in JAVA Structured API s Ability to understand the Infrastructure: Framework Thread pools Weblogic Oracle Database Hadoop Cluster Understand the scope of functionality in each upgrade to advice FIS on which version of the product best suits the desired solution. Ensure all required deliverables are met in a timely manner with full documentation adhering to FIS standards. Ability to work on an individual basis as well as in a team, to lead by example by being a pro-active, hard working, delivery focused and self-driven individual. Key Accountabilities Ability to leverage Technical/Functional experience to advice FIS on the best solutions. Produce of data mapping documents between source and target systems. Produce low level designs from functional design specifications using your experience to utilise the relevant product capabilities. Capable of troubleshooting/defect fixing in a timely manner. Ensure all updates/changes are documented and retrofitted accordingly. Quality Assurance - ensure that all appropriate procedures, coding practices and documentation is adhered to. Skills & Experience: - Essentials: - 3+ years in enterprise software development and java-based technologies like JEE designing development and deployment. At least 1 year of experience with Java SE 8/JDK 1.8 Core Java 8+ (Lambdas, Streams, Optionals, etc) Concurrency Experience with test-driven development and BDD Git, CI / CD using Jenkins Linux Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate). Nice to haves: Apache Spark, Kafka, Hadoop Docker + Kubernetes or Openshift AWS or other Cloud providers Exposure to other programming languages (like Scala, Python, Groovy, etc) not that we plan to use any of these, but usually people that worked in more languages have a better understanding of them and their differencesPrivacy StatementFIS is committed to protecting the privacy and security of all personal information that we process in order to provide services to our clients.
