Quality Head (HOD) at Cement IndustryJob Responsibility:-

• Candidate should be responsible and accountable for complete affairs of QC Department, which includes Quality check of different grades of raw materials (i.e. Coal, Limestone, Fly Ash, Gypsum, Pet Coke, Iron Ore, Red Ochre)& Cement along with Testing of HDPE Bags.
• Achieving the said target with Cost effectiveness was our major objective.
• Ensure that the end products comply with the companys specifications and the current standards before being dispatched.
• Ensuring sampling and analysis standards and procedures are respected.
• Ensure a correct interpretation of the analytical results & taking action accordingly.
• Ensure that the operators are provided with good quality training and information with a view to ensuring the quality of manufactured products.
• Ensure that the laboratory records are kept up-to-date and allow product tractability.
• Responsibility of ensuring adherence to Environmental Policies, Safety, Health & Manpower Planning.
• Proven track record to be leader of Men and Manager of Resources.

• Should well versed about Operation & Calibration of XRF (PANanalytical), XRD Analyser & Gamma Analyser/Cross Belt Analyser of Thermo fisher.
• I have setup a Quality (Rawmaterials,Cement and Bags) testing laboratory according to BIS Standards at Indias largest cement manufacturing plant with 3.65 Million tons/annumcapacity (JAYPEE HIMACHAL PLANT BAGA (HP)) which is single kiln with 6th stage pre-heater with 4 stringe technology.
• Received Gold Medal for Outstanding Performance at Monnet Ispat & Energy Limited.
• Achieved optimum specific heat consumption for our plant with the help of different type of fuels.
• Responsible for issue of BIS Certification for OPC & PPC Cement and their annual renewal.
• My suggestion were appreciated and applied in D.G. Set area by the cost control committee.
• For setting up of Power Plant Laboratory, I was sent to Vishakhapatnam at the I.O.C. / B.P.C./H.P.C.L. Oil Companies & got the training for furnace oil/ water testing of wart sila D.G.Set/fugi D.G.Set & About I.S. 14001 Environmental of Management System (E.M.S.) for our Power Plant.
• Installed Power Plant Laboratory, Sponge Iron/ Raw material testing laboratory with optimum use of chemical.

Areas of Expertise Planning, Scheduling, Coordination and Control of total activities of the Quality Control/Assurance department.Raw Mix Designing: Raw mix designing as desired for stable operation of plant and cost effectiveness.Chemical Laboratory: Analysis of all Raw Materials, Clinker, Finished Product (Cement) & Coal testing. Proper records of daily analysis results.XRF: Operation and calibration of XRF for routine complete chemical analysis & checking of XRFTo ensure that all testing procedures and product quality is as per specified standards.Technical documentation as per ISO and BIS standard requirements.Physical Testing Laboratory.: Ensuring quality of cement, clinker, fly ash etc. as per required specifications of BIS and ISO standards.Liasoning with BIS and other government bodies.Calibration of laboratory instruments/equipment.Maintenance of Planning of all lab equipments through AMC & in house maintenance deptt.

• Job involves Planning, monitoring and to control the quality of incoming raw materials, in process material and final products as per BIS & Lafarge standards and co-ordination among consultant, suppliers, contractors, other departments and agencies, for maintaining quality standards.
• To provide consistent raw mix & fuel mix for optimal quality & productivity.
• To maintain Chemical & Physical laboratory and all the relevant quality records as per BIS & Lafarge quality standard requirements.
• Co-ordination with mining and raw material purchase departments for proper raw material selection and raw mix designing.
• Finalizing the laboratory equipments and to ensure calibration of laboratory equipments as per BIS and Lafarge Quality technial standards.
• Other activities like quality planning, resource planning, preparation of reports, vendor development, comparative statements, preparation of quality schedules and their monitoring, outsourcing, etc.
• Liasoning with BIS and other government bodies.
• Manpower handling.
• Developing & implementing quality enhancement measures.
• Budgeting for department.
• Assessing the training needs of the various employees in co-ordination with the various department heads in the respective departments.
• Efficiently managing the inventory levels, for ensuring ready availability of material to meet testing, preventive and breakdown maintenance of lab equipments.
• Product Development.
• Micro structural characterization of Clinker & correlation with Quality & Process parameter.
• Quality coach for certification of shift QCSO

Handle various sophisticated instruments related to cement and concrete like: X-ray Fluorescence spectrometer, CHNS Analyzer, Particle Size Analyzer, Optical Microscope, ICP-AES, FT-IR, Flame Photometer, Zeta Probe, Blaine apparatus, Calorimeter, Compression Testing Machines, Carbonation chamber, Water permeability apparatus & Non-Destructive Testing instruments for concrete testing,
